We had a wonderful lunch in this small restaurant that was so inviting and comfortable. Our lunches were delicious, and their full bakery at the front of the restaurant had so many choices, it was hard to decide what to order. Service was excellent.

I had lunch and dinner here last week while visiting. It was lovely in all ways. I had their marinated artichoke both times, for a truly local experience. Their French cooking is excellent, too. Coconut cream pie for dessert was great. I also loved their spiced Viennese espresso.

We really enjoyed our evening at this quaint little restaurant. The service was very good. The food was good, classic French bistro fare but not too adventurous. I did enjoy the Coquille St. Jacques, but it was a heavy sauce in the dish and not as delicate as I hoped for. My husband also enjoyed his dish of beef bourguignon.... More

The clam chowder was excellent and so were the sandwiches we selected. The service was great and the place reminded me of being in a nice café in Paris! They also have an excellent spread of pastries. Will definitely return!

My wife and I stopped in Carmel overnight on the way to San Francisco, as we have many times before. Only this time we discovered a nice little bistro on the west side of the Carmel Plaza Shops. We had picked up desserts and pastries from the bakery in the restaurant before, but we never had dinner in the restaurant.... More

This quiet bistro at the eastern edge of town seems to be favored by locals. Our food was well-prepared and tasty. My mocha custard dessert, however, was not particularly fresh tasting and was too cold for the flavors to come through. On the other hand, the bread was a true french baguette --tender, but crunchy crust with a sweet melt-in-your-mouth... More

My husband and I were on our 20 year anniversary trip to Carmel. I had looked at the reviews and chose to make reservations at Casanova. I regretted my decision from the moment we sat down. We were crammed into a small table that was wedged between two others. Our waitress showed up with a perpetual grin on our face... More

We chose to celebrate our tenth anniversary here, which is not unusual because we always seem to be celebrating special occasions at Patisserie Boissiere ... birthdays or anniversaries, or with friends who are visiting, etc. We are never disappointed. I think this time, however, we may have had a new waiter/server. He wasn't as polished as the other servers we... More

We had been walking a round and stumbled on this small quaint restaurant, it was a little different from the normal menus that we had been looking at in carmel. Staff very friendly, ordered the stuffed mushrooms, delicious We were given complementary soup or salad. Husband had soup and I the salad, lovely. Husband had beef bourguignonne & loved it,... More

We stopped in for breakfast and literally got the last table. It is like being in a French farmhouse. The food is good. The service was very good. The bread was fresh and good. I tried many things and the pastries were delicious. Overall a good meal but most of all great service. A nice, relaxed place.
