This quiet bistro at the eastern edge of town seems to be favored by locals. Our food was well-prepared and tasty. My mocha custard dessert, however, was not particularly fresh tasting and was too cold for the flavors to come through. On the other hand, the bread was a true french baguette --tender, but crunchy crust with a sweet melt-in-your-mouth... More

My husband and I were on our 20 year anniversary trip to Carmel. I had looked at the reviews and chose to make reservations at Casanova. I regretted my decision from the moment we sat down. We were crammed into a small table that was wedged between two others. Our waitress showed up with a perpetual grin on our face... More

We chose to celebrate our tenth anniversary here, which is not unusual because we always seem to be celebrating special occasions at Patisserie Boissiere ... birthdays or anniversaries, or with friends who are visiting, etc. We are never disappointed. I think this time, however, we may have had a new waiter/server. He wasn't as polished as the other servers we... More

We had been walking a round and stumbled on this small quaint restaurant, it was a little different from the normal menus that we had been looking at in carmel. Staff very friendly, ordered the stuffed mushrooms, delicious We were given complementary soup or salad. Husband had soup and I the salad, lovely. Husband had beef bourguignonne & loved it,... More

We stopped in for breakfast and literally got the last table. It is like being in a French farmhouse. The food is good. The service was very good. The bread was fresh and good. I tried many things and the pastries were delicious. Overall a good meal but most of all great service. A nice, relaxed place.

This small restaurant has only 10 tables, a fireplace and the best dessert selection in Carmel! If you have a sweet tooth, leave some room for one of their treats. The menu is a nice mix of California cuisine, for omnivores and vegetarians alike!

Patisserie Boissiere is more like a café than a restaurant. The exterior and interior resembles a quaint European chateau. It had a very casual and relaxing atmosphere. We came for dinner late in the afternoon while they were preparing for dinner. They graciously let us order from the lunch menu. I ordered a CRAB & AVOCADO salad and my husband... More

We arrived with no reservation and were seated at a nice table in front of the fireplace. My daughter and I enjoyed a large dinner salad and my mother the salmon with vegetables including local artichoke. The french pastries looked wonderful but we had to pass. The reception was warm and the quality of the food high.
