I have been to this restaurant twice for dinner. Each time, I have not only been amazed by the quality of the food, but the level of service. The Porterhouse is arguably the best thing on the menu. My husband had the bolognese and thought it was better than what he had in Italy. My daughter said the filet was the best steak she had ever eaten. The little gem and caprese salad were excellent as well. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. I have nothing negative to say about this place. We'll definitely return!!

Greeted and seated with a choice of a table or kitchen bar. Nice space/atmosphere with a bricky-modern look. I took kitchen as it's always nice to watch chef and staff working. Decide it would be a starter/appetizer meal-- Artesian salume: wonderful choice of 7 different meats, really good Caprese: standard and thus kinda disappointing. Meatballs: very tasty Bread and olive... More

This is a lovely little restaurant right downtown in Carmel. We had a delicious lunch there a few days ago. Our salad with multi-colored beets, walnuts, arugela and a light dressing was scrumptious and we both had the pasta with beef, pork & veal sauce which was we thoroughly enjoyed. Portion size was perfect and our waitress was very friendly.... More

My wife and I were walking around Carmel deciding where we wanted to have dinner. We came upon Cantinetta Luca and after reviewing the menu immediately made reservations. The food exceeded our expectations -- the entire meal was carfefully presented and absolutely delicious. We shared a pasta dish which could have been served in Italy and a whole fish. The... More

This is a really fine, top class restaurant although very casual and wine oriented. Great wine selection both local and from regions in Italy. Particularly loved a dry white from Sardinia to go with one of the most delicious pork tenderloins I have ever had! Soft, tasty and flavorful. Beautiful salads and soups. Local farm ingredients. And pasta dishes unique... More

Stopped in to grab a delicious panini and had some gelato while waiting for our take out. So good! On the way out, we noticed amazing looking pastries by the door. Couldn't resist the chocolate puff like croissant. It was to die for and totally worth it for $3.50.

stopped in for a causal lunch and was bowled over by my pasta! Homemade bucatino, pancetta, deeply sautéed onion rue. Yum.

We were fortunate to be seated in the window table with another couple where we were able to hear each without raising our voices. All the other seating looked inviting, but like most restaurants the noise level was high. Our martini cocktails were smooth and chilled and the food was good but not exceptional. If you like bread pudding desert... More
