We extend a dinner invitation to our gracious host from a warm B&B in Monterey. Our host was able to get a early dinner seating at 6:30pm, on July 5th we let our host Jim select any place in the area; he suggested several in Monterey but I insisted on his most desired restaurant and this was in downtown Carmel.... Booked this for my birthday as everywhere was sold out. Goes down as one of the worst meals I've ever had. A watermelon salad? Sounds nice, refreshing ? Anyway it was big big pieces of water melon with soggy arugula and a tiny bit of feta cheese..... Just awful, and the rigatoni my God.... Each bite was painful, overcooked pasta... More

A good looking restaurant, with good service, but no where near as good as the reviews. For a pricey place we expect better food. My wife and I split the homemade pasta with garlic and oil, as an appetizer...hard to screw up. There was little flavor to the sauce and the pasta wasn't much better than boxed pasta. My wife... Our hosts recommended this restaurant and we were thrilled with food, service and atmosphere. We spend quite a bit of time each year on the Monterey Peninsula and found that the quality of the food here and friendly service makes it one of our must-dine places each time we visit. It seems to be one of the better kept secrets... More

Our BnB, Happy Landing Inn (see review for them) suggested this restaurant to my husband and made reservations for us as well. It is on the top floor (there is an elevator) and overlooks the trees and the ocean in the distance. It is a beautiful place inside, with exposed beams and all sorts of wine paraphanalia on the walls.... More

Fantastic little place - dinner was fantastic, service was superb, and atmosphere was perfect. A place you must visit for dinner when in Carmel. You won't be disappointed!

I found the food and service here to be pretty good. Had the Beef Bourginion and a couple nice glasses of red. Desserts and coffee were also excellent! Dog friendly patio. We enjoyed our time here. Wasn't anything above and beyond, but I would go and enjoy myself again here any time!

We went to this restaurant based on Tripadvisor reviews and recommendations from our hotel. The service was good, in part because there were only two other couples at the restaurant and although the kitchen made each dish to order our meals were served shortly after we ordered. The sauce on the dishes we ordered was very heavy and there was... More

Looking for a good breakfast (dog friendly) we went to Da Giovanni ...again! We were there for dinner the night before. Word in town was that they just added brunch and they've set up a few tables on the side alley, it was a beautiful morning and breakfast was excellent, it came right away just like my bottomless mimosas (served...
