Lovely little breakfast stop

This place is old school delicious. Eggs, pancakes, bacon, hashbrowns. All so good. The service was just great. They checked on us regularly, refilled our coffee, and were so friendly. It is a cash-only place, so if you wanna enjoy their pancakes, make sure you have some bills on you. If you want a... read more

This is a small cafe catering to locals. It is off the main street. Few tourists know of it. They serve breakfast and lunch only, and are closed by 2 pm. My wife and I eat here about 3 times a month. I usually have pancakes. They cover the plate and are 1/4 inch thick, more like a crepe. Outstanding.... More

We went to Little Swiss based on the reviews of others, and we were so happy we chose it! First - it is CASH ONLY. They do have a sign when you first come in the door that says cash only and tells you where an ATM is (2 blocks over), but the place isn't huge, so it's best to... More

We had breakfast there. Food was very good, service friendly. The only problem they take cash only, and we usually don't carry much cash on us.

We arrived in Carmel and asked the guys from the local Fire station where they recommended for us to go for brunch and their recommendation of the Little Swiss Cafe was excellent. This is a little cafe with a very cosy European feel about it and all the staff are extremely friendly. The cafe has been around for years and... More

Crepes by Brittany at the Wharf in Monterey came in at a close second, but the cheese blintzes were amazing to say the least. I didn't really know what to expect, so I ordered a side of fresh fruit and received a cereal bowl, heaped full of delicious fresh fruit. I could have absolutely filled up on that, but there... This small but charming restaurant in the heart of Carmel is very good. The breakfast menu was extensive and the portions were large and tasty. There are only about 10-12 tables but would be worth the wait if you have to. Great spot to eat if you're in Carmel and need to eat.

The highlight of this restaurant is the mural painted on the walls - which is well executed and interesting. Breakfast was ordinary. The spinach on the Eggs Benedict was not fresh and almost pureed. The hash browns - ordered crispy were greasy. Fortunately the service was good and so was the coffee.
