Breakfast Cottage

One of the many Carmel "Hansel & Gretel" style buildings, nice breakfast options, open at 8am but no "proper" coffee.... has a terrace also.

Quaint and charming. Very friendly staff. Its a country cottage and well worth a stop as you walk around Carmel.

A very quaint English breakfast place. Nothing fancy but all very good. Features their homemade jams. Very nice experience.

Very 'Disney' idea of an English tea room. Great lemonade and plenty of food. Sandwiches arrived with a full compliment of fruit salad and huge cube of orange jelly! Very nice people run this place and you will not leave hungry.

This place is cash only as of this writing so be aware of that. I always stop by here when I visit Carmel because I LOVE their scones and jam. Such a cute and charming place.

Charming tea house in one of the original 21 Comstock "fairy tale cottages" in Carmel by the Sea. This is a must do for breakfast or for a coffee stop (minimum charge per person apples). Darling outdoor courtyard and utmost in friendly service. Must try their unusual scones - complete with fresh cream and fruit. Don't miss this one!! Ask... More

We stopped in at the Tuck Box for their Scottish style scones, which were fresh, toasty, and buttery. The service was prompt and the setting delightful. They have a breakfast and lunch menu as well.

Restaurant reviews are so completely reliant on a combination of variables that will probably never occur more than once - that is the only explanation I can think of for the variety of reviews for the charming Tuck Box in Carmel. Here is our experience: my husband and I arrived at 2:15, not knowing they close at 2:30. Apparently everyone... More

The eggs benedict & tea and scones were very good. However it was almost impossible to get any coffee. We ordered coffee with our original order. The tea was brought to the table. No coffee. The table next to us was served. No coffee. Our food was brought to our table. No coffee. We asked again for the coffee. The... More
