Just like I remembered.

While in Carmel for spring break, my grown daughter and I went to the Tuck Box(childhood fav) for breakfast on our way out of town. It was a weekday and we were the first ones there, so there was no wait. Service was very promt and my coffee was never less than half full. We ordered eggs(perfectly... read more

Most always begin my day in Carmel with breakfast here. It's just enough, I enjoy the scones and their coffee. Have been coming here since a child, at that time I would have liked a place with a hamburger, but now appreciate the most quintessential building depicting Carmel architecture. Their patio is pet friendly. Restaurant is small, but I've never... More

To save you from embarrassment I will begin by telling you that this place only accepts cash! The restaurant has been in business since 1949 and the food tastes like the American Food Revolution never happened. My Eggs Benedict sat on tough, soggy English muffins and highly processed, salty Canadian bacon, then slathered in Hollandaise which definitely came out of... More

Waited 25 minutes for food which never appeared. Table next to us who arrived 15 minutes after we ordered received their food. Finally left! ! No manager to talk to. So sad. ..cute looking place, but sub par service.

Enjoyed our breakfast experience at this cute, quaint little cottage. Very small inside, but loved how cute it was. We tried the scones with raspberry spread, and even purchased items to take home with us. We really enjoyed the sweet waitress as well, she reminded us of Rachel Ray, and we even had our pic made with her and teased... More

Take an outside photo of this darling, quaint tea house but....keep on walking. My family was excited about having brunch at this little tea house but as soon as I walked inside I was disappointed. The cheap tables with an odd selection of sugar packets, packaged honey, etc. reminded me of a diner. Our waitress was quiet and pleasant enough... More

I have been going here my entire life. They make a variety of scone that is more like a crumpet. They are warmed up with butter and are out of this world. Fare warning, the hours are odd and they are often not open at tea time. I recomend going for late breakfast/early lunch, it is not too crowded and... More

We love this place and always try to eat there when in Carmel. Only open for breakfast and lunch. Great English style food and tea.

Charming fairy tale setting in the middle of town puts you in that Carmel mood. British tea leaves in a pot with a strainer, not in a teabag, and the scones are super, really the best. Eggs are great, and the staff has always been friendly. This cafe/restaurant has been one of our go-to places for each Carmel trip. But... More

We accidentally bumped into this placed and were captured by it. It's tiny and cozy, no more than 36 people allowed. Their scones are very good, also the orange and berries marmalades. The rest of the food was good but nothing out of the ordinary.
