Description: At Flaherty's...Fish is Everything! We know good seafood, we know how to buy it and we know how to prepare it. Unlike most restaurants (even the best of them) where fish is often a secondary item on the menu...at Flaherty's it's all about seafood. Here, you will experience a small town, comfortable, family atmosphere, where quality ingredients and quality preparation come together with quality service. We also include gluten free items in our menu to provide all of our customers with the best service possible. It's who we are...come and experience seafood like it was meant to be.

been coing here since 1979. Chowders are great, white not too thick and full with clams, and the bouillasie also very tasty. Tip : Great place to pick up a quart of chowder to go, and head to Carmel Beach to watch the sunset.

I have eaten here a couple times and always really enjoy the food, ambiance, and service. I love their lobster bisque and most things on the menu are done perfectly!

Having been totally turned off by Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row, we went back to a place I have not been to in a while in Carmel. Wow. Its still there and has grown and gotten better. I love family owned operations and this one used to be a fish market back in the 70's and over the years expanded... More

After reading so many great reviews, we sat down with great expectations. My husband has paella, which he said was terrific. I wasn't so lucky. I ordered char-grilled seafood, expecting...char-grilled seafood. Instead, I got broiled seafood, including a piece of fish that was soaked in butter (or oil, not sure, but really greasy). I decided to make the best of... More

Management response:

I am sorry about the experience that you had with your swordfish. We are in the process of printing new menus with our changes. In our experience of charbroiling sword it takes away the value of the freshness of the fish and tends to dry out. We have gone back to our original style of lightly searing the sword fish... More

When we arrived in Carmel we were ready for lunch. We went to Flaherty's on a friends recommendation. My tuna salad was delicious, and the tomato bisque was amazing!

We love their clam chowder, and often pick up a container with a generous portion of delicious bread to take home.

Good seafood but pricey for what you get, yu could eat better in Carmel and spend as much. Sand dabs good, trout was ok, found some bones in trout filet.
