At Flaherty's...Fish is Everything! We know good seafood, we know how to buy it and we know how to prepare it. Unlike most restaurants (even the best of them) where fish is often a secondary item on the menu...at Flaherty's it's all about seafood. Here, you will experience a small town, comfortable, family atmosphere, where quality ingredients and quality preparation come together with quality service. We also include gluten free items in our menu to provide all of our customers with the best service possible. It's who we are...come and experience seafood like it was meant to be.

This place is in downtown Carmel, the last place I expected to find some of the best seafood I have had. Coming from the Northwest I have some pretty good places under my belt so this was a real surprise. In town for a wedding, we all decided to eat in town where we were staying. We found this place... If you are looking for fresh, well-prepared seafood this is not the place to go. This place was recommended to us by friends that had visited about two years ago. Although the service was friendly they seemed very disorganized. We had reservations but that didn't seem to matter. The meals were terrible and the food was grossly overpriced. Paella was... More

We were a party of 9 in Carmel for a wedding. Thanks to trip Advisor we found Flahertys. Diverse menu here so we tried to order a variety! My sister in law has celiacs disease so my brother has eaten with her for years. The waitress was very framliar with Celiacs disease, was knowledgable on the recipes and helped them... More

We ate here because we couldn't get into A W Shucks. Average chowder, oysters fine, but the service was lousy and we were ignored. For the time we waited for service, we could have stood the 20-minute wait (at 2 p.m., mind) at A W Shucks.

My husband was not feeling well on one of our days along this trip, so he stayed in and I went out to the beach. A late lunch was then in order. As we were in California, seafood seemed the logical choice. Carmel does not want for restaurants. Flaherty’s was suggested to us by the hotel we were staying in,... More

We ate here for dinner in the Oyster Bar. The staff was pleasant, but our food was less than stellar. My sand dabs were overcooked to the point of mushy and my husband's fish and chips greasy. We were disappointed with the dinner given the ratings it has received.

Had lunch today at Flaherty's. I had mashed potatoes with spinach and Bass on top with a nice lite sauce. I'm usually a meat and potatoes guy, now I'm a fish and potatoes guy. What a great meal. I must admit I really like this place. The fish is so fresh you would think you caught it. I do not... More

The food and service are wonderful. Crab and fish tacos are delicious and considerable servings. Best thing- gluten free deserts. Yes, with an "s" more than one choice. I had a scrumptious lemon square with a hearty cup of coffee. Our server, krittya, was lovely.

Totally unacceptable for the price 2 course meal for two which included starters of mediocre seafood chowder and a brie concoction, followed by very basic fish in batter and fries and a (6) shrimp dinner with fries with coleslaw. We also had half a bottle of wine at the sugestion of the server who lost interest after it was obvious... More

Nice bistro/pub style fish restaurant in Carmel. Ate here with my mother while passing through. The fish was very fresh, the chowder was excellent, the service personable, engaging, and efficient - the bread sticks were noteworthy, not that I usually note such, and they have beer brewed under their own label that was clean and refreshing.
