Description: At Flaherty's...Fish is Everything! We know good seafood, we know how to buy it and we know how to prepare it. Unlike most restaurants (even the best of them) where fish is often a secondary item on the menu...at Flaherty's it's all about seafood. Here, you will experience a small town, comfortable, family atmosphere, where quality ingredients and quality preparation come together with quality service. We also include gluten free items in our menu to provide all of our customers with the best service possible. It's who we are...come and experience seafood like it was meant to be.

The oysters were AMAZING!! I ordered a halibut with no dairy/gluten and it was a bit dry. However my hubby ordered a different halibut that had a sauce GF/Dairy free, and I had to "borrow"some of his to make mine better. They could have thought outside the box and brought me some - but it all worked out. The Manhattan... More

This is a must stop place in Carmel, they have a bar side or a lovely side for low light dining but the same great menu. The menu makes it difficult to make a choice. It's all great!!!

We were seated promptly. The place was busy. Got a couple of glasses of fairly priced wine and looked at lots of fish oyster choices. We settled on paella. What a great choice. It was easily split, witch we do a lot. It was wonderful, But it took a bit of time to arrive because many others choose the same.... More

Since I am from the east coast (Maine) I like to try things we don't normally have. For seafood, I had my first Sand Dabs, lightly breaded and pan fried. They were tender, not fishy and akin to sole. The oyster stew was a nice surprise. The oysters out west are HUGE. Four of them in the stew were plenty.... More

Lunch was expensive but after all it is Carmel. My wife and I shared a dozen oysters on the half shell. Our server made a recommendation of two different varieties and they were both wonderful, fresh and cold. We finished with a cup of clam chowder. Just maybe the best I've ever had. Seasoned a little differently than the usual... More

We tried the Paella seafood and artichoke appetizer at this Carmel by the sea restaurant. It was a fancy enough place, but the food was just OK. For the Paella, the meat was tough and the rice and meat all tasted the same.

If the quality and presentation of the food matched the prices at this establishment, we would have had a memorable dining experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The Ahi Tuna was atrocious and the sauce on the Halibut was simply bland. Enough said.

We had looked up this place and finally decided to go. What a disappointment. Nearly $100 for what was basically a burger & toasted sandwich and 4 glasses of wine. Tax & gratuity were decided by management and added before you signed the bill, and then they ask for a tip. Please do not eat here until you know what... More

This is completely false. Completely false by some of the most abusive behavior I, as a business owner, have seen in a long time. As a result of your verbal abuse, there were employees who were crying, and maybe you did not realize there was even a customer you were yelling at that you thought was an employee. To our... More

It was packed , but a place at the bar came up and we grabbed it ! Most agreeable . We ordered a draft beer and it was served immediatly and was at the right temperature . We ordered oysters and a lunch special of Soft Shell Crab ! Fantastic ! Definitely will return !

I had researched which restaurant to go to on tripadvisor and this one kept coming back to me. As we walked up tonight which is unusually hot for this time of year, we saw a restaurant across the street with a nice terrace. As we contemplated going across the street, a nice gentlemen asked if he could help with our... More
