Cramped tables, noisy. Get in and get out is the order of the day. MuShu chicken tasted okay, but too oily, & pancakes were cold. Appetizers below par, greasy eggrolls, potstickers were overcooked. Chicken in soup and several entres was rubbery. I've been here for dinner and lunch. This is not a fast wok cooked meal as the name would... More

Plain little cafe.I dont care for greasy chinese food so it does not appeal to me.I didn't get sick however, so thats nice.I would think with a name like "wok" the vegetables would be delicious fresh vegetables, but they were soggy, greasy not crisp. It is CHEAP, so it has that going for it!

I picked this place for lunch because its 2nd place ranking on trip advisor, and I was deeply disappointed. The seating is really limited. The service is relatively slow, and, the worst of all, the food was way too salty. I downed the entire pot of hot tea and still felt thirty. Not recommanded for people who prefer light dishes.

The first time I went here we felt things were a little off. A friend had recommended it rapturously and we were not impressed. It seemed standard. The second time everything clicked and the vegetables and meat were terrific! Service charmingly Chinese and all original from the hole in the wall atmosphere to the colors ! All seems artsy and... I have been to Tommy Woks several times over the last ten years. Every time I dine at Tommy, I leave happy, wanting more. In fact I am sitting here in San Francisco on a Monday night, craving some of Tommy's Won Ton Soup!!! I am thinking maybe this weekend driving down just for their AMAZING, FRESH Chinese food!! My husband and I stopped in Carmel on our drive to Big Sur. We had some trouble finding Tommy's wok as it is tucked down a little alley. We were glad we found it. Restaurant is small but we were seated right away. The meals come with soup and tea which were both good. We both loved our meals and... More

We went to Tommy's Wok while on our trip to Carmel. It is a small place with about 10 tables. we were lucky and sat right down and within about 2 min we had drinks and tea. The soups were great, portiong large and we had enough for lunch the next day. A wonderful experience.

We almost gave up trying to find it but after walking around the block a couple of times we happily found Tommy's Wok. Although the restaurant is small (around 10 tables), the service was efficient, the food excellent and prices very reasonable - particularly considering how generous the servings are. Everything - including the soups - can be shared between... More
