Breakfast and lunch, both, offer interesting menus. The Point Lobos Benedict at breakfast is outstanding. Excellent service.

we went here for my boyfriends grandmas birthday. we were seated quickly and then it took forever for someone to come over and say hello. the server was bland. the food was really good for everyone, the only problem is I found a large piece of blue lint in my salad. I work in a restaurant so I know how...

We have eaten here 4 times and overall have enjoyed our experience. Our most recent experience was our best, mainly because we had a late lunch and avoided crowds and kitchen delays and had a very attentive server especially to our little one.
What I would recommend here include,
1. Their salads, especially the Cobb
2. Children's menu is healthy...

We were staying at the hotel so ate here for breakfast one morning. Our server was so rude, acting like he was doing us a favor by serving us. People who sat and ordered after us were done with their meals by the time ours got out to us, and then everything was lukewarm. They also forgot part of our...

The view was definitely great I'll give them that. We had reservations and were seated promptly for lunch. Service was however slow, no bread, no water till we asked for it. Food was average but for the price, all I can say is "Yikes!" We expected better service at least....
We made a reservation over a month in advance, mostly for the views and the ambiance. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and we were seated about as far away from the windows as we could be. A couple ahead of us without a reservation were seated closer. After looking at the menu we decided that for a...

Enjoyed a nice breakfast here. The food was good/average, but the views of the coastline were amazing. We were staying at the hotel, so it was an easy visit for us to the California Market restaurant. It's worth a visit if you are staying at the Hyatt.
While it is at the Highlands Inn, the prices were in line with other less exotic venues, which is a surprise. I mean the location is excellent, the view is what post cards are made of. The food is great. And the service is everything we could ask for. So put it all together and you'd be hard pressed to...

Califorfnia Market, perched high above the Pacific and located in the Highlands Resort, is an outstanding restaurant with exceptional service and high quality food. We make an effort to eat here every time we come to Carmel. Order the crab cake sandwich. It's amazing!
If you sit at the right table or sit outside you will have amazing views of the waves crashing over the rocks. The food is wonderful and the wines are the best. The service is kind but formal. We never ran out of water, very attentive. It's pricey but worth every penny of it.
