Love the quaint Cottage. Huge, delicious breakfast. We stumbled upon the place on our way back from an early coffee. Took one look at the menu and we were sold. It was much better than Em Le's restaurant which claims to have the best breakfast in town.

This restaurant was recommended by one of the locals in Carmel, California. As we entered this quaint cozy restaurant the first feeling was as if you were walking into your favorite Aunt's dining room. Comfortable, cozy pillows adorned the booths as we were greeted by the owner, Kathy. Hospitality must be her middle name. What a gem. The food was... More

This is a small unassuming place, but the food and the service are excellent. Carmel has lots of expensive and pretentious restaurants, so it's nice to find a place like this where you can have a decent meal and don't brake your wallet. The artichoke soup is the best!

The Cottage restaurant is a couple of blocks off Carmel's main drag, Ocean Ave., so there are probably at least as many locals as tourists. But the breakfasts are worth seeking out. Three of four of us had eggs benedict but two with different twists. One had regular but crispy bacon instead of traditional ham or Canadian bacon. Another had... More

This place was quite small, but adorable inside. I was there early with my husband, around 8:30 AM, and there were only a few other couples, so we received good service. There was a cute fireplace in the corner and lots of sunshine coming into the room. The coffee was quite good, and I can be picky about coffee. We had... More

This small restaurant provides yummy meals in a charming cottagey setting. The service is good, the selections are varied and the experience is definitely Carmel.

We were in Carmel window shopping and browsing on a Tuesday afternoon and happened upon this restaurant. It was a chilly, misty day and we were thinking soup for lunch -- and the sign outside their restaurant proclaimed they had the best soup. We ordered the soup (artichoke) and salad and eggs benedict and everything was delicious. The service was... More

Visited on a Sunday for brunch & during the wait, we enjoyed complimentary coffee offered outside. Once we got in, we sat between two other tables with about a foot apart each. Noticed the cycle of service was either the tables had food or had not yet ordered. After a long wait in the VERY busy restaurant, we got attention... More

Omelette and pancakes were good, generous portions. It's a quaint place, quite crampled but comfortable and friendly.

Ever had to cut an omelette with a knife in order to eat it? A cute little restaurant, and service was fine, but food was terrible and expensive - $50 breakfast for two?
