Cottage Retaurant is a Great Choice for Breakfast in Carmel

My wife and I took two friends who were visiting us in Carmel out to breakfast yesterday. We chose the Cottage Restaurant because we had not eaten there in many years, and wanted to try something different. Plus the reviews on-line were great. We were not disappointed. Was looking for a place for a nice breakfast and found this one. At 8:30 AM on a Saturday in January the place was almost deserted so we weren't sure what to expect. Luckily, we were thrilled with the result. I chose an omelet with toast and hash browns - fantastic! My friend got the breakfast with Kathy cakes, eggs,... More

First the staff is wonderful..so smiley and they take GREAT care of you. Food is good too...the little side salad that comes with the sandwich is one of the best ceasars on the peninsula. And it's cosy ambiance is wonderful rain or shine.

Leisurely Saturday brunch in this adorable little restaurant. Lunch menu looked appetising but opted for breakfast of eggs, pancakes bacon and baby bangers, really tasty little sausages! Good coffee, fresh juice, local newspaper, friendly service, lovely town. Top marks!

This place feels like you are in your grandmother's house; it is very cozy, small rooms decorated in traditional schnickschnack. The breakfast we had there was very tasteful, the service very good!

Enjoyed my breakfast here the other day. Only complaint I have is that the sourdough toast was a little stale.Would definitely go back. Prices very reasonable.

We stumbled on The Cottage Restaurant after poring over menus for overpriced, and way too precious, Carmel restaurants. Sure, it’s a tourist town, but we figured there had to be some place friendly, affordable and comfortable for lunch - and this was it. The artichoke soup lived up to its reputation, the chicken salad had big fresh chunks and lots... More

Best Buckwheat Shortstack around ! Cute Breakfast spot in Carmel, decor is done cottage style. Tables and chairs and a long pew style booth along one wall with comfy pillows facing dining table. Fireplace in corner makes this a cozy place for breakfast while visiting Carmel. Locals seem to visit early for the good coffee and food. Friendly service, opening... More

We have been here a total of 4 times now, so that should be a dead giveaway about how great this place is. Such a quaint restaurant, which offers seats by the fireplace and window (which is lovely in the morning). The breakfast menu offers a wide variety of items, if you get the omelet (recommend) or breakfast burrito, you... More

We love the down home atmosphere of the Cottage Restaurant on Lincoln Street, next to the Wayfarer's Church, in Carmel, California. The owner is always present and a very pleasant lady who likes to take the time to talk to the customers. The restaurant is larger on the inside than it looks on the outside and our favorite table is... More
