Visited on a Sunday for brunch & during the wait, we enjoyed complimentary coffee offered outside. Once we got in, we sat between two other tables with about a foot apart each. Noticed the cycle of service was either the tables had food or had not yet ordered. After a long wait in the VERY busy restaurant, we got attention... More

Omelette and pancakes were good, generous portions. It's a quaint place, quite crampled but comfortable and friendly.

Ever had to cut an omelette with a knife in order to eat it? A cute little restaurant, and service was fine, but food was terrible and expensive - $50 breakfast for two?

We were just walking around Carmel and decided that we wanted some lunch and found this place. It looked cute from the outside and comfortable and it was. I think this was an older home converted into a comfy restaurant. We were there for a easy but light lunch and The Cottage fulfilled our every expectations. I am on a... More

We had arrived the night before and had not yet stocked our room with breakfast items. So we headed into Carmel and tried this place. The whole family loved it. If you're lucky (or early enough), sit at the round table in the front window. You can watch the goings on in Carmel and marvel that you're in vacation in... More

Great atmosphere and outstanding eggs benedict and potato's with a lovely outdoor seating when the weather is on target. Also, the pricing is very reasonable.

This is one of the many small-but-friendly restaurants in Carmel. We have been there twice in recent months for a late breakfast and not been disappointed. Ambiance is cozy, and service is very warm and friendly. Give it a try. I think you will like it too.

The Cottage has been in Carmel for some time now and have some excellent crepe` selections from their previously owned Left Bank Cafe`. This day we went in espcifically to have their Vegitarian lasagna, unfortunately, they only cook this dish on selected days.... it just may be the best in all Carmel. The Cottage Ceasar salad was wonderful. We could... More

We had breakfast at The Cottage yesterday. It was good food, and the servers are very attentive too. I had eggs Benedict and hash browns for $12. Portion size and quality were both good. It is small and pretty quiet which is nice in the morning IMO.

We dined here after our hotel desk clerk recommended the place. We weren't disappointed. Our first impression was of a charming, small, unique interior with the main dining area pretty crowded. However, we found a corner nook that was private and ideal for us. The service was perfect and the manager/owner was very friendly. We were there for lunch and... More
