Quite the Breakfast

We went to Em Le's for Sunday breakfast (early, not brunch although the menu is the same). The special French toast was quite spectacular. It's deep fried, with fruit and whipped cream, served with "special syrup" ( cinnamon flavored). I paid extra for cinnamon raisin bread. I'm certainly glad I... read more

Well, the B&B breakfast was a disappointment so we went out looking for a good brunch. We found it at Em Le's. It wasn't busy, unlike the Corner restaurant at the end of the block, but the food and service was outstanding. My wife had a pecan waffle, smothered in pecans. She enjoyed it immensely. I had a Denver omlette.... More

I strongly recommend the Nifty Spanish omelette as the jalapeños give it a welcome kick. The French toast is amazing too.

I love their french toast because it tastes like funnel cake. The place is small, so don't go on a weekend, but it's worth the cramped quarters in order to enjoy their signature dish. I admit it's all I have ever eaten there, but once I find something I love, I eat it over and over. My family has had... More

We got a breakfast to go--one of the only (or maybe the only) place in Carmel open so early. They were very friendly, gave me a cup of coffee while I waited, and brought the food very quickly. Give it a try.

The waitress was pleasant and helpful. Our breakfast was yummy and my husband really enjoyed his eggs benedict. Came with three eggs and a nice side of fruit. Atmosphere was decent. The pricing was a little high. For breakfast and two coffees it was approx 40 dollars plus tip. All in all a good experience. I would go again :)

Had the mixed seafood omelet: Smoked salmon, crab, shrimp, mushrooms with hollandaise sauce. Excellent choice! The wife had Nippy Spanish omelet- be prepared for hotness (has pickled Jalepenos and salsa). Cozy and quaint- nice fireplace and charming little place.

The French Toast was highly recommended by another family who had visited so we indulged and we were very pleased. It was huge and tall but we did a good job toppling it. We also enjoyed the homemade corned beef hash, eggs, and biscuits. Service was wonderful and although there was an error on our bill, it was rectified with... More

Ate there one morning, early. Owner and cook the only people in the place. Quiet, perfect for reading the paper and drinking coffee. Then having an enormous breakfast. Would eat there again, and recommend it to others with no qualms.
