Em Le's has such a delicious menu for breakfast that leaves you belly full and happy. The atmosphere is quaint and fits the style of Carmel, but the breakfast is something to check out. Stop on by with your appetite.

The French Toast at Em Le's is addictive and legendary, so every time relatives or friends come to visit us, we take them there and they swoon! Last night all of us enjoyed the Early Bird dinner specials which were tasty and of very good value. I usually order the lamb shanks or the pasta with pink vodka sauce, but... More

We visited Em Le's at 1:00 PM looking for a great breakfast. We ordered a ham and cheese omelet and pancakes for one of us and scrambled eggs, hash browns and toast for the other two in the party. We figured with the high prices would come delicious, high quality food. Not so. This was the worst Tasting, worst quality... More

The day the wife and I arrived in Carmel we checked and saw that Em Le's offers a early bird dinner before 6:00PM so we went there for dinner. When we arrived there was only one other couple in the restaurant and it was nice and quiet. The wife and I placed our orders and were served fairly quickly. I... More

Em Le's is known for its' breakfasts but we had a certificate and went for an early dinner. They have a great $13 a holler early bird menu that is very nice but we ordered off the regular menu for the grins. Go hungry. Go very, very hungry. Holy smokes what portions! My wife had a very nice piece of salmon... More

I remember the first time we ate here almost 30 yrs. ago and our breakfast was so good we came a second morning. We walked in and the waitress said, "Coffee black and tea with milk." We loved watching the locals come in to sit and chat at the counter. We took our children here when we came back to... More

Em Le's is a quaint "find" in Carmel! We enjoyed the intimate table facing the cozy fireplace. The food was plated in a professional and appealing way. The vegetable soup was heartwarming and reminiscent of the kind our grandmother made. The salad was plentiful~excellently crisp to the last bite. The lamb shank was delicious. The New York Steak with crumbled... More

We made sure to have breakfast at Em Le's due to all the reviews. Their famous French toast did not disappoint. The restaurant is small and quaint. Lots of locals there for breakfast. My biggest disappointment was no one seemed to clear tables as people left. If someone new came in, then the table was cleared. They have a small... More

My husband and I arrived at 6:00 p.m. and were the only ones in the restaurant. In spite of this, the service was bad. We both ordered the Salmon Dinner. Although the menu stated that the entree's came with a choice of soup or salad we were informed that only the salad was available. We were never served any bread... More

Great restaurant in Carmel. The place is small but very cousy. Went there for breakfast and the food was amazing. The service was very good and fast (we went on an early Sunday Morning). The portions were very large (you can easily share between two). The signature french toast were delicious and huge! We also ordered the waffle with bacon... More
