I love the patio as it is dog-friendly. The food is great and the staff is very knowledgeable. The stuffed artichoke is always on my list.

Went on the recommendation of a former resident and we're not disappointed. Had two great lunches and one dinner. Awesome food and service. Great value and nice wine list.

I have been going to this little spot while in town for about 4 years now. There is one reason…the crab Benedict is awesome! Sometimes the service is great sometimes they seem over overwhelmed but the breakfast is not to be missed if you like crab!

Last minute we decided to go to Carmel for the afternoon. Around 4pm we decide to find a place to eat lunch/early dinner. There is a lot to choose from but we decided upon the Village Corner. The menu had breakfast and lunch items on it, as well as more substantial dinner-type items. Since we were there before 5pm, we... More

We usually stop in twice during a week of vacation. We've only ever had lunch, but it is excellent every time. We always sit on the patio...it's a great place to people and dog watch while enjoying great food and wine. The service has always been perfect and everyone is very friendly and helpful. The sand dab sandwich is my... More

Arrived in Monterey, but read about a certain restaurant in Carmel on TA, so we headed there hoping for an early table - no chance so we wandered around and stumbled upon Village Corner - we really liked it - great starters, good mains and a local bottle of Guwurztraminer that at $34 dollars could have been a lot more!... First clue: Salad Nicoise with fish of the day! One of the party was foolish enough to order it even after having been informed that the fish was halibut. Although not Salad Nicoise (halibut being rather hard to find in the Mediterranean) it might have been edible if the fish had been seared rather than desiccated. Another member ordered the... More

Street view patio with a fireplace. On a corner, the venue is terrific for people watching. Service was ho-hum on a not-so-busy weekday. The Huevos Rancheros and San Francisco Joes were tasty.

Loved this restaurant, especially the heated outdoor patio area which felt very European. We ordered paella for 2 at $52 with an excellent white wine for $31. Other restaurants visited on this trip typically featured much more expensive wine lists. The paella itself was excellent in both quality and quantity. We enjoyed our desserts but I was also very pleased... More
