Great Atmosphere

Great service and great atmosphere. Sat out on the patio with fire pit burning. Food was very good. Nice wine list with great local options.

We were doing the West Coast drive from San Francisco to Long Beach and stopped off to visit beautiful Carmel. By chance we came across Village Corner and stopped off for brunch. To be honest after having a lovely, but all too brief meal here I wished we had been able to stay longer so we could have had an... More

They went out of their way to make me a vegan meal and it was excellent. Everyone at the table loved what they choose. The service is outstanding and it was quite beautiful outside, just beware the heaters work very well.

Four of us went here for breakfast a few days ago and sat outside around the fire place. We had very good service, the food was very tasty and the portions were good size. Each of us had something different to eat and we were all pleased with our meals.I think the price of the main breakfast items was around... More

The food was delicious and it was wonderful sitting outside for dinner around the fire pit. I shared Paella with my daughter too and we enjoyed the atmosphere and the food very much.

We have noticed the quality of the food has slipped a lot in the last year or two. It used to be really good. Now it is poor. We had breakfast in October, 2015. The patio is great, but the poor food does not make up for it. I had 2 eggs, 2 bacon and 2 pancakes. The bacon was... More

Great breakfast, tasty coffee... but wow oh wow... save all your pennies, this place is pricey. Tiny little bistro with better outdoor seating than indoor. Would eat there again... but will save up first.

This is a go - to for tourists as it is a nice exterior and also interior setting - mostly everybody wants to be seated on the patio! We had a nice lunch and enjoyed the atmosphere. The one complaint is that it was very noisy. I think having fun is great - but the lounder it got the less... More

We were in town for our High School Reunion, so we were making a true reunion of it and visiting special old spots. The Village Corner is one of those spots. It's been in operation for 60+ years, in a town where new restaurants show up like clock work, that means they are doing something right. One friend complained that... More

There are only a few things that outnumber restaurants in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California: grains of sand on the beaches there… and possibly dogs; both come to mind. Where restaurants are concerned, the competition is decidedly quite keen. And if a restaurant is going to do well and remain a viable and thriving business in Carmel – especially with all the competition... More
