Outdoor Patio/Fire Pit are Terrific

Love going to Village Corner for Breakfast especially. The atmosphere is so special, and we generally always stop here for a meal when we visit Carmel.

We needed a place that would be open early (they open at 7am) and we were not disappointed. Cozy atmosphere, fresh hot coffee and delicious food. Good prices for Carmel! Will definitely be back!!

The village corner served up a really wonderful breakfast in Carmel village. We have found our choices to be either coffee shops or diner type restaurants. This was a wonderful combination of both! Wonderful espresso drinks and exceptional breakfasts. If the rest of their daily menu is as good as breakfast - then you can't go wrong.

We have eaten at this restaurant at least 20 times. We always bring our dog and the outside patio is nice. Wonderful food and excellent service. We recommend the portabella sandwich and the sand dabs sandwich. Portions are large.

It was the end of January and 75F on a clear sunny day. What better than the Village Corner for a late breakfast on the patio. The retractable roof was open. Fire pits and heat lamps if required. Not too crowded and dog friendly. We ordered coffee to accompany the Eggs Benedict and Mediterranean Frittata. Both dishes were served by... More

The Village Corner is another of my go to restos during my annual trip to Carmel. I love the terrace and much to my delight, during this last visit I discovered that it has a retractable roof to provide shade from the hot October sun. The food is always delicious and the service above par.

It was a little too cool for the patio even with the wonderful fireplace, so we ate indoors and it was also a little cool in there because they leave the doors open. Greeted, seated, and got the bread with a good tomato dipping sauce. Ordered mixed seafood grill for two and the Greek salad to split. Hubby hasn't eaten so much... More

They is the best place in Carmel. Love it. Chris and the staff really do it right. Great food, great patio (dog friendly) and a great staff. You have to eat here.

We spend New Year's Eve in Carmel every year with a group of friends, and this has been our traditional place to eat on New Year's Eve - large enough for our big group and relatively quiet. The food has been reliably "very good," and the service has always been excellent. However, this year was a disappointment. First of all,... More

Wouldn't recommend for breakfast. My wife and I were very disappointed with this restaurant. The silverware had yucky dried egg caked between the fork tongs when we sat down. The breakfast did come quickly but seemed too quickly as though the food had been sitting off to the side of the stove awaiting the next customer. The bacon and hashed... More
