Stopped here on a Sunday eve. We were seated right away. The timing was excellent as we noted the place started to fill up quickly after 6PM. The food selections were varied and portions were ample. The food was excellent. Our waiter (a male) seemed to display an "attitude towards us", when we did... read more

Loved the menu - interesting pairing of items. Everyone raved about their dinners. We came near the end of dinner service and pace of service was excellent. Prices are decent for the area.

Delicious drinks, small beautiful portions. Elegant atmosphere for what I thought from the street was a casual lunch place. SLOOOOOOOOW service because a GF member of our 4-person group had to send her salad back when the server forgot the instructions on leaving off a topping. Awesomely creative dish with quail eggs and smoked salmon, aggravatingly sing-song waitress who spoke... More

Rio Grill is a local favorite in the Carmel area and it's not hard to taste why. I have come here every time I go to Carmel-it's so good. Decorated with colorful funky southwestern & local art against Santa Fe styled white walls make this an upbeat yet relaxed atmosphere for dining. What's also ice is that it's not too noisy... More

You could tell there's a local clientele, as the owner makes the rounds and greets you he stopped for a while as some of the... More

Filled with locals, the menu is outstanding. We ate here two times on our Carmel trip - ate everything on my plate and was inspired to get dessert which I rarely do. We treat our servers with respect and always receive excellent service, even though we don't drink - no exception here - the service was spot on with helpful... More

The atmosphere was cozy and they were busy on a week night- we had a reservation. The food the next table was having looked yummy and we were hungry. While getting our wine order straight I was really hungry so asked our waitress for bread. After quite a wait, I asked the hostess for bread. After more of a wait,... More

Outstanding fresh local food with the spicy Southwestern bite. Don't miss the grilled artichokes! And the duck confit with tamale - what a wonderful combination. If you can't get a reservation, try the bar where they serve the same menu.
