Im basing my review on two dishes ordered on Friday, March 13, 2015. The shrimp with penne pasta and the crispy pork shank. The shrimp and pasta were the better of the two dishes. The cream sauce was nicely spiced and the pasta itself was cooked perfectly. A tasty meal. The crispy pork shank came... read more

It's a fun, lively (for Carmel) place to meet for dinner. Although the menu does not change, they have daily specials that add depth to the dining experience. The fish specials are particularly good - great pieces of fish in comibnation of vegetables and creative sides. Love the chicken salad on the regular menu - all the ingredients are served... More

We past threw Carmel on our way to LA and stoped in Carmel for some food, then we dicided to visit the resturant. Marvelous atmosphere and perfect service. The staff is so gentle and nice, we ordered some meat dishes, the food was great balanced and good taste. One good thing, while you wait, you can use the crayons (... More

Aside from the fact that the place was jam packed and noisy, this is a good place. My steak was perfect. The service very good, and the drinks were done right. The crowd, including the locals, attests the the quality of the place.

We have been local customers of the Rio Grill since it opened - and for good reason, it is always wonderful. Our children learned to eat in restaurants there. It's perfect for families, parties or for couples. Today we went for lunch to avoid the Valentine's Day and AT&T night time crowds. The regular menu is always to be counted... More

We arrived without reservations, and we had been hiking- so we were not sure if we would be welcomed. The hostess assured us that we were indeed dressed appropriately and she sat us at a nice little corner table. The Artichokes were amazing ( this close to Castroville all the artichokes are wonderfully fresh and HUGE) Dinner was very good.... More

Menu full of options. I tried the lam and it was not the best I ever had, but my friends and I enjoyed dinner a lot. I recommend you to try.

Judy and I hadn't been back to the Rio Grill in a few years, but went there earlier this month to try their new brunch menu. It's worth a trip! We received excellent service, and the food quite literally could not have been better, especially the crab benedict (which was perfect from the first taste to the last). At $19,... More

We had a dinner reservation in town and the power went out a few minutes after we were seated..... and it stayed out. Some friends were meeting us for dinner and they suggested we hop in their car and go to the Rio Grill. They had eaten there before and enjoyed it. So away we went. The area beyond Highway... More
