We went to Rio Grill yesterday with our three children (ages 6, 8 and 11). First off, the table was ready and we were pleasantly surprised that they have paper on the tables and crayons to encourage silly drawings and pictures by all. I was also happy to see that they gave each child a kids menu with little activities... More

I thoroughly enjoyed the food here and the drinks. I really enjoyed the staff. The waiter was just the sweetest, nicest and always had a big smile on his face. I remember I couldn't decide what to eat because so many dishes sounded so good but since there were three of us we ordered different dishes and just tasted each... More

Lovely restaurant in a outdoor shopping area. Delicious food and excellent service. They even had a gluten free menu. We weren't really dressed quite nice enough but they welcomed us in anyway. Nice casual will do. Yummy!

As visitors to Carmel, we had a recommendation for the Rio Grill for a nice dinner. Carmel is expensive, and this is, too. However, the meals we ordered were cooked perfectly and were delicious. The tab was $68 for two of us with no drinks, appetizers or desserts. I had Mahi Mahi with broccolini and a sweet potato hash that... More

We were driving up and down the coast sightseeing when we found ourselves in Carmel at dinner time. My husband pulled into a shopping center and I spied the name Rio Grill, which I remembered from an ad in our hotel room up in Monterey. When we walked in I was immediately struck by the cute décor and overall ambiance... More

Having travelled up from la that morning and been on the road for 15 hours, we found a hotel at 9.30 and immediately crossed the road to Rio. We walked in at 9.55 when they stopped serving at 10. They were amazing, didn't bat an eyelid, rush us or anything. Having worked front of house myself and now being a... More

Later Dinner on week day. Seated across from the Bar. Service was quick and friendly. I had wedge salad very good & would have been a nice meal with a cup of soup. The grilled shrimp on penne was good, but would order some of the grilled or oven items or stick to salad & soup next time, Also ordered... More

My wife and I found this place by chance while staying at Tickle Pink Inn. It was late, after 9 pm, and we just wanted a quick bite. We shared a burger with fries and the burger was outstanding. Quality and prepared to perfection. We returned two days later for lunch and the burger was just as good. I cannot... More
