Fun place for family

Very large restaurant but the service was quick. Food was delicious and creative and the prices weren't too bad considering it's Carmel.

I have been coming here for as long as I can remember and my parents have eaten here since they opened over 30 years ago. We come to Carmel every August for the car shows and historic car races and this is always our first meal in town and last meal we have before we leave. Food is consistently good... More

My friend and I went to Rio grill for lunch and had the most wonderful time. The waiter was attentive without being obnoxious. The food was delicious! We split the artichoke appetizer, always one of my favorites! Then split the steak salad which they brought out on one plate for presentation value with two smaller plates so we could split... More

I love the interior of the restaurant. It is light, inviting, upscale (white tablecloths and cloth napkins) yet casual (paper covering over the white tablecloth) with some colorful, bright pieces of art. Our waiter was friendly, professional and experienced. Located in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking. The food is just ok. We had lunch on the weekend;... More

There is always something interesting on the menu at Rio Grill. The food is creative and well-prepared. Excellent ribs, wonderful stuffed pasilla pepper, great fish dish, tasty pasta dishes. The mocha flan for dessert was outstanding. Our server was professional, helpful and gracious. Rio Grill can get loud, but that is our only negative. It's a casual place. The food... More

We found this place on Open Table and they also allow you to pay on their app. My wife enjoyed the duck with severed several different ways, including her favorite, including a tamale. If you go on the weekend, make reservations.

Good food. We stopped in the first night we were in the area. The special was lamb quesadillas--fantastic! The prices are a little high, but for the area they are probably about right. Atmosphere is fun and they have an extensive bar.

For years my wife and I have enjoyed dining (lunch and dinner) at the Rio Grill. The food and service are always excellent. Lately, we have noticed that the environment has become even friendlier and more relaxed than in the past. While quality of food and service remain high, dining at Rio Grill is a greater treat than before. We... More
