we stayed at Tally Ho and this b'fast was part of our stay. Lots of options, fresh, and very tasty. We enjoyed both days of our stay

Food is good, but the production value runs higher than the food here. High prices are justified by elaborate costuming of choices. I mean by that, they talk a better meal than they deliver.

I guess I was expecting better food given the reviews. We were seated next to a bar and even though only the hostess was sitting there it was incredibly noisy because the bartender was banging around. Disappointing at best.

We ate at Il Fornaio as part of The Pine Inn & we had breakfast here too. The food is excellent & is not as expensive as many in Carmel.

Be sure to stop in the bar M-F between 4-6 for the six dollar menu. If you miss happy hour it's okay. Il Fornaio is a favorite in our family. Consistently good quality food and service.

We ate three breakfasts (as part of the hotel deal) and one dinner. All were very tasty. The breakfasts could have varied more, but there was still plenty.

Celebrated my birthday there & was happy to be treated like royalty. The gnocchi was light as a feather, complemented by a rich creamy sauce, the best I've had since visiting Italy. Excellent wine list & wonderful menu. They bake their own bread & the rosemary roll was my favorite. I love using the hotel entrance where the decor takes... More

Mon-Fri 4 - 6 pm, the bar serves $6 appetizers (usually $17). The pizzas are large enough to be a $6 dinner main course. Having missed the happy hour by sitting down at the bar at 6:01 and trying to order at 6:02, we decided to eat at the restaurant. Bland unexciting pastas. We were disappointed. Il Fornaio is an... If you like authentic Italian food in a lively atmosphere, this is the place to go. We liked the fact that you can order a small or regular size pasta dish. Staff was on the ball, despite the large crowd. Prices were very reasonable given the location and quality of the food.
