Carmel is not known for its night life. This place was fun for a pre dinner drink and great views. It was even more fun for the piano bar in the evening. Will definitely be back next visit to Carmel.

Great place for dinner or just apps and cocktails on the patio. Great spot for watching the sun set and relax.

Had an outstanding dinner at the one and only mission ranch in Carmel. We were lucky enough to get a table outside overlooking the beautiful meadows and beach and ocean. Loved the sheep in the meadow too. We ordered the artichoke and ahi tuna appetizers. Both good, but I preferred the artichoke with aioli. We also split the beet salad... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our sunset dinner here. So old-school ... and so good! Great view, great vibe. And great to see everyone -- staff as well as diners -- having so much fun. Just don't come here looking for culinary innovation. Instead what you get are refreshingly straightforward takes on classic surf and turf. Yum! On the... More

We picked the Mission Ranch Restaurant to eat and so glad that we did! The piano bar while we waited for our table was warm and friendly with a beautiful view! We ate outside with sufficient heat lamps. A beautiful view of the field and the Point Lobos area in the distance. Able to see a beautiful sunset from our... More

Traveled to Carmel for a quick spring break trip and went back to this restaurant(a long time family fav!) I've been going to this restaurant since the very early 70s. They do not take reservations, so we arrived around 7:30 and took a seat at the bar(live piano music) to wait our 35 min for a table. Cocktails and appetizer(goat... More

Get there early Mission Ranch is very popular because they do such a good job. Had dinner (filet) with my wife on a Saturday, the steak was perfectly cooked and a quality cut. The sides were scalloped potatoes and asparagus, both were very good. The restaurant overlooks an active sheep ranch and ocean to go along with the cozy piano... More

While breath taking might not be the normal title of a restaurant review, I gave it this because the views from this restaurant are just that. We saved the best for last on this trip. Six of us arrived here to dine about 5:05 PM and were promptly seated in 5 minutes outside on the patio with breathtaking views. Our... More

I have to confess that my main draw to this restaurant in the beginning was because it's owned by Clint Eastwood although you would not know it. Nothing in the restaurant indicates his ownership other than truly a ranch setting (kind of Eastwoodesque) with a pastoral view looking out over sheep grazing and hills in the distance. It also was... More
