Situated above the Crmel river marshes this restaurant does not disappoint. They don't take reserrvations so you turn up, have a couple of drinks at the bar and wait for a table to come free. Ours was located so that we had a perfect view of the river valley and out to sea with a herd of sheep grazing below... More

Dinner good although sauce on generous sword fish not nice. Brunch good but beef and salmon not replenished for late diners which we were Piano in evening and at brunch , good fun Hostess staff very poor, unwelcoming and left us waiting to be seated although both meals pre booked. Waiting staff nice but didn't feel service did place justice.... More

Arrived at 10am and joined the line, the restaurant was mostly full by the time everyone was seated. The live jazz band was quite loud in the front room, I was grateful to be seated in the back room. Also the line for the omelets went around several of the tables which would be annoying if you were seated there.... More

My wife, daughter and I took the 20 minute walk from Ocean Avenue hoping to bag a legendary patio table with views out to the fields and bay. However, the weather on July 2 was more akin to a November day in England than summer in California. On arrival, we stepped into a cosy, log-fired reception area where the hostess... More

THE Best place to catch the sun going down on the outside deck overlooking Mission Beach (from 4:30pm), watch the flock of sheep 'go in for the night' to the call of the Shepard & maybe, if you're really lucky, catch a glimpse of the Owner, Clint Eastwood at the Piano Bar. The Prime Rib & Filet Mignon are always... More

Incredible view overlooking an old sheep farm. The food was good but not great in my opinion...I didn't feel like there were enough options on the menu and no one raved about their meal that night. Even though the evening was quite cool they had heaters around the outside tables that made it very comfortable. Inside we noticed it was... More

I enjoyed my rib eye steak, and for extra $8 you can get it for two. Good deal as the steak is big. Service very professional. Beautiful vista of pasture land.Piano bar historic.

The last time I visited the Mission Ranch was 4 years ago on my Birthday. I enjoyed my experience there so much I wanted a second round. I'm really glad we came back. We had a table outside on the patio facing the beautiful meadow. In fact we had the exact same table as 4 years ago. I ordered the... More
