Sunday Jazz

I am a local and I love the Mission Ranch! Great place for dinner, Sunday Brunch, or afternoon cocktails. It is an open mic piano bar and they have incredible pianists and some really good singers that come by. The views are spectacular and the food delirious! My favorite is their scallops!!

The food was excellent, the service great, and the piano bar with volunteer singing was a lot of fun. A rare night to be sure!

We had an excellent dinner but arrived just after the sheep he been put to bed for the evening. Great grilled artichoke for appetizer and steak for dinner. Cooked to perfection. Wine sitting at the piano bar afterwards topped off the evening. The only way it could have been better is if Clint had been there himself.

Restaurant is rather old fashioned in a good way. Meat and potatoes but also some lovely seafood. Service is good. Reservations are not allowed, so it's best to come early.

If you stay at the Mission Ranch Hotel, have at least one meal at the Mission Ranch Restaurant. We had dinner one night and drinks on their patio by the outdoor fireplace on another evening. Some areas inside can be pretty noisy later in the evening (piano bar, jazz, and singing) so be prepared. Also, they do not take reservations.... More

As first-timers, reading about a restaurant with mixed reviews, you don't know what to expect. It was outstanding. The views of the meadow with sheep, coupled with views of crashing waves was awesome. The drink prices were reasonable. The food prices were reasonable, and everything was nicely prepared. If you're looking for a 5-star tablecloth dining, this is the wrong... More

Mission Ranch is a destination hotel at a fraction of the price of others in the area. Its charm and vistas are unequaled. The quirks add to the charm. Love those sheep and the open mike singing in the restaurant.

The food is amazing and dinner menu is very extensive. We have also had the Sunday Brunch. We have never been disappointed. I like that they don't take reservations because it gives everyone a chance to get a table. While waiting for a table, we always enjoy sitting in the bar, listening to the piano player and having a cocktail... More

We stayed in Carmel near downtown and walked the mile down to the Mission Ranch Restaurant for Sunday brunch. The food was good, but not excellent. We tried a variety of the buffet offerings. The prime rib was good, but not the most tender I'd ever had. The ribs were dry and tough. Desserts were good but not delicious. We... More
