We had dinner at Anton & Michel's on Christmas evening. This appears to be one of the few restaurants that is open for dinner on Christmas Day in Carmel. We have dined at this restaurant several times before. The service is excellent, and it has quite a nice setting. We were seated at a small table for two and the... More

Anton & Michel's Restaurant is my mother's favorite restaurant. When I made reservations for her 91st birthday I asked for the Chicken Jerusalem dish for her. It is on the lunch menu and not the dinner menu any longer. No problem! They were happy to serve her the dish for dinner! All 7 of us had delicious dinners and great... More

The food and the service were very good! We started with a sald with shrimps followed by seafood pasta and salmon with vegetables! Recommend outside lunch!

I will have to agree a little with the last reviewer on somethings but not all. First of all, our server was fantastic, exactly what old "stuffy" places use to have..someone who was friendly and very infomative and seemed to care about us. My lamb was excellent and so was the Chocolate creame brulee(however you spell that). Now, the place... More

My wife and I dined at Anton & Michel's two evenings ago, and it was very disappointing. Carmel is a magical place, and every time we returned we've had a wonderful time. Not this time. We like to order different entrees, so we appreciate diverse wines by the glass (not getting locked into a red or a white). Sorry -... More

I was looking for an upscale place to take my wife for her birthday. We don’t get a chance to visit Carmel and Monterrey very often so I researched places and Anton Michel had glowing reviews about the food, service and atmosphere. I made reservations for Saturday night and included my 16 year old son. I should have known we... More

Some of the locals were lukewarm of this restaurant, or may be they are jealous. Food was superb, we had a French waitress who was very professional and knowledgeable. Best veal chop I have ever had and the lamb was delicious. Bananas Foster topped off a perfect evening.

You can go casually dressed, of course, but get dressed and enjoy an elegant dinner, perfectly prepared cuisine, and excellent service in this lovely place. Yes., it's pricey, but it's worth it.

My husband and I had dinner here taking advantage of their early bird special. The food and ambiance was fantastic. The setting was lovely. Our waiter was relaxed yet attentive, and the wine though expensive for us, was delicious. This was our favorite meal of our entire trip to California. I hope to return.
