It was our belated anniversary dinner and when we made our reservation, the hostess assured us that she would make sure they did something special in honor of the occasion. NOTHING was done. Our table was not that great and my scallops and tiger prawns were like rubber, so over-cooked, that I sent them back. We won't return.

Chose this as our dinner spot for our 20th anniversaryHas a new bar and nicely revamped interior. Good choice of Early Bird dinners that were excellent. Their "thing" is flambe deserts. We had the Creme Brule and it was excellent. Great wait staff..

Dined here with friends - lovely space with tables nicely spread out and a pleasant view of a courtyard with an ornamental pool. All of our meals were excellent - top marks for the cuisine. Service was a tad slow because our waiter tended to disappear. (It was one of those times that we have all experienced when saying we'll... More

We visited this place during our Carmel Food Tour. Got a sampling of the short rib, vegetables and greens and some wine. Very tasty food and great view of a patio and fountain. Staff shared some of the history of the business and the building, which was fun to hear and learn too! Good choice for a romantic dinner or... More

The bar space includes not only a bar, but tables in a great setting. The prices on the bar menu are a great value compared to the restaurant. It was a really pleasant atmosphere, and the service was good. I had the artichoke and seafood salad appetizer followed by the lamb chops. Both were excellent (and under $15). Coupled with... More

I have been eating at this Restuarant for over 20 years. The service is great from start to finish, Food is second to none and is by far my favorite place in Carmel.

We canceled other reservations at a higher rated restaurant to come here and A&M exceeded our expectations! We started with the tuna tartare and tomato bisque! Very good! Our entrees, lamb and short ribs, were cooked perfectly! Then there's the very extensive wine list! And to top it off, Tiffany, our waitress was great!

We're local, so we are fortunate to be able to walk to any of the wonderful restaurants in Carmel by-the-Sea. One of our favorites is Anton & Michel on Mission Street. The dining room is good, but the newly redecorated bar/lounge provides ambiance and a terrific 'lite' menu. My husband and I love to sit in the sage green couches... More

My wife and I went to A&M based on the reviews, but left very underwhelmed, especially given the prices. The basis for this are: no butter knives, butter comes in rectabgular square packages similar to Denny's, the waiter made the crepes by squeezing the orange through a used napkin versus cheesecloth, and at the end of the meal, took the... i just want to take the time to commend Anton & Michel staff, especially the manager Mr. Simpson. We held our wedding luncheon here and they are the most helpful. Food was excellent, service was superb and they are really really accommodating. Mr. Simpson was assisting all the time and made a cute remarks when we were about to slice... More
