We stopped at Rocky Point Restaurant for lunch while driving down Highway 1, and selected it by using the TripAdvisor android app. The reviews are spot on - this restaurant is located on a cliff overlooking the Pacific with a fabulous view. The food was very good, I had ahi tuna and my wife had tuna tartar, both very good... More

Rocky Point Restaurant has got a tremendous location right on the cliffs overlooking the Big Sur area. The food and drinks were good, although a little pricey. The service was good as well. You pay for the view, but it's worth it. We were able to sit outside and, although not a sunny day, still really enjoyed being there.

We stopped here for lunch on a drive down Highway 1. Although the food was excellent (we had crab sliders and a BLT), the view is what will bring us back. Both indoor and outdoor seating are designed to give unobstructed views of the rugged coastline below. It's an easy drive from Carmel. Be prepared for long lines on weekends.... More

Took our out-of-state daughter here for a memorable twilight meal on a recent breezy, crystal clear Friday evening. It was just an hour or so before the sun set over the glowing Pacific. After we posed on the outdoor deck for the obligatory FB photos with the stunning Bixby Creek Bridge in the background, we headed inside and took our... More

Being from Seattle, this was my first visit to this legendary restaurant, and it won't be my last! Some local friends took me to dinner there and I must say, this place was amazing. I have dined all over the world and there is no place like it! The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was outstanding. The... More

At the north end of the spectacular coastal stretch just ten miles from Carmel on a beautiful point. Lovely setting, comfortable dining room and patio, friendly service. Very good organic burger, decent if slightly skimpy seafood salad, excellent rhubarb c obbler. Expensive, but its an expensive area and this is a quality establishment. Bonus is drive through fragrant eucalyptus grove... More

Just tried the new menu with friends at the Rocky Point Restaurant. Excellent food. The ingredients are really fresh and price reasonable. New choices and new flavors. The service is also getting better. The waiter came often to fill my coffee. Nice touch. The view is breathtaking. A truly enjoyable place to have a meal.

A few weeks early my husband and I had a wonderful visit to Rocky Point, so when we had out of town guests we decided to show them the sights. We felt what better place to show off the Big Sur coast than Rocky Point. Again, we were quickly greeted and taken to a beautiful window table. Our friends were... More
