At the north end of the spectacular coastal stretch just ten miles from Carmel on a beautiful point. Lovely setting, comfortable dining room and patio, friendly service. Very good organic burger, decent if slightly skimpy seafood salad, excellent rhubarb c obbler. Expensive, but its an expensive area and this is a quality establishment. Bonus is drive through fragrant eucalyptus grove... More

Just tried the new menu with friends at the Rocky Point Restaurant. Excellent food. The ingredients are really fresh and price reasonable. New choices and new flavors. The service is also getting better. The waiter came often to fill my coffee. Nice touch. The view is breathtaking. A truly enjoyable place to have a meal.

Easter Sunday! My family and I have lived on the Monterey Peninsula for over 60 years, and we have the fondest memories of Rocky Point Restaurant, We were so happy that it has re-opened. We have a wonderful meal, the employees could not have been nicer and so accommodating , they were so attentive. The weather that day was so... More

A few weeks early my husband and I had a wonderful visit to Rocky Point, so when we had out of town guests we decided to show them the sights. We felt what better place to show off the Big Sur coast than Rocky Point. Again, we were quickly greeted and taken to a beautiful window table. Our friends were... More

We stopped in for a late lunch on the way down the Pacific Coast Highway, and was not disappointed with anything. The location was outstanding! We sat outside in the sun and soaked up the amazing views. The service and food were great and there was no rush to move us on, Do save room for desserts as the pastry... More

We stopped here for lunch based on TA reviews and were not disappointed. Each of us had a different dish - burger, blt, salad, soup - all were really tasty. Best thing about the restaurant is it's location. You feel like you're eating in a fort on the side of the mountain - and you are. We ate outside on... More

In my ratings 3=meets expectations. 4=exceeds, 5= blown away. I rarely give 5. Expectations are based on my experience with similar establishments at similar price point. I want to give these guys a 5, but two things stop me: schedule and price. We showed up at 6:30 Wednesday evening, hungry as hell, then stood around for a while for the... More

We love the views at Rocky Point and were anxious to share them with our friends from Colorado. We had a calamari appetizer which was small and unappetizing but edible. We then had the Mussels and Fries. The fries are reconstituted potato fries which I find ridiculous for any restaurant but particularly a restaurant which is attempting to build a... More

Stopped in feeling a bit wary because of the mixed reviews. But the one common theme was the incredible view, and that is what we wanted. We were greeted warmly, and taken to a table right on the window. Wow, the view is truly awesome. Our server quickly greeted us, and said she would be with us soon ( the... More
