We are open every day - all day. Our guests may enjoy whale spouting, sea otters and pelicans. We were traveling along the Pacific Coast Highway and saw this restaurant. It was lunch time so it was the perfect time to stop. We were seated outside on a beautiful clear day. The view is absolutely amazing. We were all in awe of the beautiful blue ocean and rocks! Our meal came quickly, and the presentation looked amazing. I... More

It would be nice to visit this restaurant during the day when the views would be amazing and the menu is more reasonable. I had the Ahi, which I sent back once because it was completely cooked through (a cardinal sin). The second round was better but still a little over cooked and not that good for the price. Another... Other reviewers have it right. The setting is so spectacular you don't mind spending a few extra dollars per person (that's right - about $10-$20 a couple) for your meal. Where else can you eat along the Big Sur coast and not stop smiling over the view and setting. Food was also excellent but you come for the setting and... More

My wife and I recently had lunch at the Rocky Point Restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The setting is nothing short of spectacular. The restaurant is perched above the crashing Pacific coastline and the views are beautiful. We ate lunch on the outside terrace to enjoy the views and the weather. Service was outstanding, and the food was quite... More

Had a great meal and the service was good. Food was great and upmarket in my opinion with reasonable prices. Outside seating was awesome and certainly the setting is stunning with the sea bashing against the rocks. Great place for a meal., drinks and spending time with friends or family. Only thing was the late opening in what must be... More

A wonderful gem recently made even nicer by a renovation. Definitely a special occasion kind of place, but I've been coming here since 1997 and I make sure to visit every time I'm in the Monterey/Carmel area. Great, friendly service, wonderful location & views with tasty food and drink. 2 Fireplaces inside and an expanded outdoor patio also with a... More

The restaurant was recommended by the Pointe Sur Lighthouse tour guides. After out tour we headed to the restaurant to enjoy great food (mainly seafood options) and drinks. You can't beat the view, although our waiter was a bit odd and made some weird jokes, the seafood salad was amazing and the fried calamari were delicious as well. Also, I... More

We were driving along the coast and stumbled into this place and we're so glad we did. This restaurant is right on the water. You can eat a full meal or just relax and have drinks while you look out over the water and watch the birds, sailboats, etc. Rocky Point offers indoor and outdoor dining. Very easy parking.

You go to Rocky Point for the spectacular view and the weather. It's a fraction of the travel time from the north from Carmel -- Big Sur without the drive. When you combine this with an imaginative menu and good service, you've got a winner. We had all of these and the result was a remarkable, relaxing, memorable afternoon.

We happened to stop by here by accident because the kids needed a break from the curvy CA roads. The view is absolutely breathtaking! We ordered some drinks and kid food, along with some oysters and shrimp. We saw the sunset. It was just great. Really really great.
