Phenomenal spot! Okay food. Service...blah. I would go again just for the view. It was crowded for a Sunday in October but I didn't mind the wait because of the view.

The view alone is worth a visit to this restaurant! Outstanding on a sunny day. We couldn't have picked a more romantic place for an anniversary lunch. The food was also good and the service was excellent.

I had high hopes for the new chef and new GM (Bill Lee) and was not disappointed. The seafood salad and clams with linguine were superb. Nice local wine list, although not extensive. The service was also outstanding. Am thrilled there is now a good alternative to the regular haunts to Big Sur.

Stopped here for lunch recently, while traveling from Big Sur to Yosemite. Best view of any restaurant I have seen -- great salads and sandwiches. Counting the days until I return! Very friendly servers and employees.

Go for the view! Breathtaking! Service and food was fine, not outstanding, but good. The relaxing and intimate atmosphere was wonderful. Hope to go back one day!

What a wonderful find! Spent the day exploring Highway 1 and saw the small sign pointing to Rocky Point Restaurant. Read some reviews about not-so-great food but took a chance anyway and were we glad we did. The food was amazing - almost as amazing as the views. Stunning! They have a new chef - Chef Herman - and he's... More

Don't miss this stop on the California coast, south of Carmel-by-the-Sea by about 25 minutes. Wear your patience hat driving on Hwy 101...speed limit is 45 and you'll have lots of rented RV's to contend with. But, given the spectacular views as the hillside drops away to the blue Pacific below, your passengers will be awed with views (no peeking,... More

This is one of the most beautiful settings for a restaurant that you could hope for. We were seated just before sunset on a clear (no fog!) evening. The sunset, the waves crashing on the shore, a few sea lions barking, it was wonderful. It was a warm evening so we were seated on the outdoor deck, by the rail.... More

Lovely lunch on the patio, especially the French Fries!!! The weather was perfect, sunny with a bit of a breeze. The coastal beauty was priceless, it's why we love living in California. This is not to be missed, good food, wonderful service, and a gorgeous setting.

Beautiful views and wonderful food. We had a large party, including a toddler and the service was personable and attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the local wine recommendation was perfect. Highly recommended!
