From the time we entered, appeared you were entering a diner not a dinner house. The salad had wilted lettuca and coated in dressing. The chowder was acceptable. I had the seafood pasta and my wife had the fresh fish special. My pasta had no flavor and the calamari was "a sponge". The fresh fish was lightly breaded and again... more

We celebrated an Anniversary here at one of our very favorite breakfast spots not long ago. The food was excellent as was the service. It happened to be a rather foggy day but inside the atmosphere was so warm and sunny that we hardly noticed the fog. It was a beautiful beginning of this very special day! more

We recently dined at Rocky Point for my father-in-laws 90th birthday. Of course the view was spectacular! Our waitress was extremely attentive and anticipated everything we needed before we did.Everything was served in a timely manner,no feeling of being rushed. Our steaks were cooked to perfection,as we had all ordered various temperatures and specifications which were all met..We had a wonderful... more

I wish I would have read the reviews before stopping in. The host was nice. The view was quite nice.....but dear god...the service was amazingly bad. When a waiter is in the weeds, there should at least be some back up or a manager to assist! The busser was ontop of his tables and that was about it! Food arrived... more

We had a family dinner to celebrate birthdays. We had the best table in the house for a party of 6. We were greeted at the door. Service was good. The servers were attentive. The menu selection is plentiful. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. I just loved my lobster tail........cooked perfectly. Wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean. We... more

We visited here again after 8 years. Popped in in the afternoon on our drive to the heart of Big Sur. A little on the pricey side, but the views are breathtaking. Worth stopping in. You won't regret it! more

First, if you expect cheap food with a dynamite coastal view go somewhere else. After all this is Carmel-Big Sur. We had breakfast here --- Eggs Benedict. Terrific! Great service, very tasty breakfast (potatoes were out of this world different). An elderly couple we met has been coming here every Friday for 5 years. They love the place. The views... more

We had our small family wedding on the patio and what a wonderful time we had! The view is spectacular and the staff was very helpful and accomodating. We were able to set up our sound system early and have the gazebo decorated by Shirl*e's Flowers with ease. Our dinner inside was delicious and the staff was attentive. Overall it... more

My sister and I spotted this restaurant while driving down Hwy 1 and thought it would be a neat place to stop for a drink. It was late afternoon and we decided we didn't want alcohol yet and both ordered coffee. The server preceded back to the bar and soon after a large group of people walked in and started... more
