Great view and nice lunch menu

A trip south of Carmel to Rocky Point is a great way to enjoy the scenery on the drive and at lunch. Beautiful ocean side location has seen major renovations in the last few years that have really improved the experience. Enjoyed deck overlooking beautiful ocean views; house salad was tasty, experienced better service elsewhere (day was warm and had to request water glasses refilled several times), hamburger was overpriced for quality.

The scenery doesn't get any better for views of the ocean. Just right off Hiway 1 is a restaurant with a long history. This restaurant has been around for years. And now that new ownership has taken over the business a couple of years ago. The restaurant has had a face lift. They have made more out door seating so... More

If you are traveling Highway 1 through the Big Sur area, this is a great place to stop for lunch and a beverage. The restaurant has commanding views of the Big Sur coastline both from inside the restaurant and from the outdoor patio. The food is adequate. The service was excellent and the staff is very friendly. If you are... More

We went in expecting food and ambiance to match the amazing setting. We were disappointed. What should you expect?? Food: Nothing special. Decent portions. But both meals lacked flavor. Perhaps the chef had an off night. Ambiance: This is the best reason to visit. Wonderful views of the beautiful Northern California coastline. A rare opportunity to dine in this beautiful... More

One of the stunning restaurant views anywhere I would believe. The meal was very good, uncomplicated, with good service.Seemed to be frequented by mostly local residents which is a good sign to us.Although the meal was enjoyable the view is what makes this a very special destination restaurant.A great stop off, just south of Carmel,on our Highway 1 trip reliving our youth!

We have eaten here many times over the years. The views are consistent; the food has been anything but. Chefs and ownership have changed. We never know just how good--or bad--the experience will be. Most recently, the restaurant seemed to be a bit better than usual. We ate out on the deck, something new since there now appears to be... More

We stumbled upon this place almost by accident, and am I glad we did! It was a nice day, so when given the choice of eating inside or outside, we didnt hesitate to choose outside. We were shown out on to the patio area and given a table with an incredible view of the coastline and ocean. Whilst the food... More

Best meal that we had while visiting the Monterey area. We ordered the Crosby (club sandwich) and it was awesome! Great fries!! The famous French Dip was the best one we have ever eaten. Dessert was awesome!!

We went for lunch; the prices were quite high and the food did not live up to the price. We had the calamari salad and the vegetarian burger. The portions were small and the flavors not very interesting. The burger came with sweet potato fries that had clearly been frozen. A $50 lunch that would have been disappointing at half... More
