Gorgeous views and good food.

I feel this restaurant is best at lunch when the view is unobstructed by fog. Good food, Good Service.

Rocky Point, a few miles south of Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA, is one of our favorite stop off points when traveling Highway 1 north or south. We've been several times and have never been disappointed. It was quite windy and cold during this latest stop in, but we really wanted to eat outside and found that the lower level was not at... More

Absolutely amazing views, fabulous food, great service. Awesome spot for photos. It was super windy when we were there, otherwise it would be awesome to sit outside and soak in the sunshine and gorgeous coast scenery. We were there on a Wednesday and right when they opened -- which was smart, because the cars quickly piled in soon after.

Great lunch spot after a walk in Point Lobos. Ocean view and whale watching is spectacular. Lobster bisque and seared tuna is good.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch during our drive down PCH this past week. We stopped based on the view, but we're very pleasantly surprised by the service and food. The hostess was friendly and offered us several table choices so we could pick our favorite view. Waiter was friendly and prompt. Chef even came out to check... More

My daughter (21 years old) and I stopped here on our way back from Big Sur to San Francisco. We had the fried calamari and she had a drink. We were seated outside on the patio at our request. The hostess sat at close to the heater as it was a bit chilly out. The waiter immediately brought us water... More

If you're looking for a great, scenic restaurant just south of Carmel, this is a great stop. We didn't know about Rocky Point when we started our day. We intended to visit Point Lobos Park, but the parking lot was full when we arrived. We opted to head south down the coast. What a beautiful drive! Plenty of places to... More

After hearing from others this is a must do place and despite a 7 hour drive, we pushed south to rocky point. Hotel is in marina, north of monterey, so 45 minutes more. It is perched on a point that delivers stunning views. Truly breathtaking and nothing short of perfect. Windy day so the out door patio was not in... More

We've made eating lunch at Rocky Point a tradition whenever we visit the Monterey area. This time we had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated although there were scads of empty tables outside (guess it was a server issue.) When we were seated the views, the red geraniums next to me and and warm sunshine were enough to... More

Had lunch at a beautiful restaurant ~10 miles South of Carmel yesterday called Rocky Point. It has to be one of the best places on the West Coast. Both the view and food were amazing! The new owners have done an unbelievable job on this restaurant. I had calamari, a fabulous bowl of clam chowder followed by delicious fresh halibut.... More
