Great little find

Strolling through Carmel, saw this little place. Great oysters and seafood. Carmel beer on tap was fantastic. Staff were very friendly. The kids loved their burgers. The price was surprisingly cheap for what we had. A great little place.

Everything is more expensive in Carmel. We had a dozen oysters (variety) for $24 which is about 1/3 more than we pay in Oregon. They were good. It was very crowded so we had to sit at the bar.

We had a great meal and a very good time, we sat at the bar and ate and the barmaid was very helpful and friendly. She gave us some good recommendations. The food was good was a little disappointed in the chowder not as good as I'm used to.

Gin tonic, really not the best. Chowder... The day before we had dinner at san Francisco and there we had real chowder. This was nothing compared to hogs restaurant at SF.

Popped in for a quick bite - tasty crab cakes and shrimp tacos with a nice glass of wine. Friendly service, although they clearly wanted us to leave when they were closing - they had no intention of waiting for us! Worth a look - seafood by the sea is always a treat.

Wanted really good fish and chips and this little place was great. Good staff and so close to the beach. Was able to see the sumset.

We liked A W Shucks. Good food, nice casual atmosphere and very good service. I had the fried cod and a side salad. All of their salad dressings are house made and delicious. My husband had the fried calamari with fries. The calamari was wonderful, but the fries were frozen steak fries.

We tried the oyster from Miyagi, CA and Chesapeake, VA, and we think the quality is just okay but not great. It's fresh enough but not presented fresh enough. Half pound burger is awesome plus that they have a fantastic waitress Nicole.

We regularly go to this place and love it. Great for sitting at the bar for casual drinks and the best clam chowder. Menu is limited but all is fantastic. Can watch the oysters being prepared and the Key Lime pie is a must.

We had a late lunch, so Happy Hour was all we needed instead of dinner. We were seated at the bar which allowed us to talk with one of the managers. Food was fresh and tasty and service very prompt and polite.
