There are a lot of really fine restaurants in Carmel, only they cost an arm and a leg and your first born. To find a comfortable restaurant that serves good food at a reasonable price is a true discovery. This is such a place. It's down in the shopping center across the street from The Carmel Mission Inn, way in... More

This restaurant is a very good place to have breakfast. It is in the shopping center at the corner of Highway 1 and Rio road. Service was very good and all of us enjoyed the food.

We took two grandchildren here on the way up Route 1. Difficult to find but great menu, excellent food, nice place and affordable. A good find in Carmel.

I ordered the chicken curry over rice and it was just okay. Bread is fresh and served with spiced olive oil. Service was good and friendly. I've had dinner here several times and it was always good in the past but could have changed ownership. The restroom was in need of a serious cleaning and appeared more like a gas... More

Searching for a place to eat on New Year's day, we found this little gem. From the olive oil with spices, the bread (divine!) to the service, it was very good. Excellent service from Tino, and the owner was most gracious when complimented. Next time I will try one of the lamb dishes. Best clam chowder!

Actually one of the best, most enjoyable places I've been. You can see the other customers are friends with staff, repeats. Definitely worth trying, very varied menu, I think.

I’ve gone to the Café Stravaganza twice. The first time was for a quick breakfast – the basics: eggs, bacon, toast and cottage fries. From that experience, which was better than good, someone recommended that I have the lamb dinner. So my partner and I returned about a month later. The place was virtually empty (always a bad sign). However... More

Staying at the Hyatt Highlands 3 miles up the coast needed a place for breakfast. This was a great option. The Mexican owners were really friendly and food good solid proven favourites. Would strongly recommend.

We have eaten there a hand full of times mainly ordering Italian dishes and Pizzas, except once I went there by myself and ordered a delicious kabob dish with rice, bread, salad shirazi ( cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, dry mint with olive oil and lemon juice) as well as some yogurt. There are plenty of places where I can get... More

Stopped on our drive through Carmel for breakfast with my mom and sister. This is more of a low key place for Carmel and the portions are quite large. The breakfasts that we ordered all had a bit of a Spanish twist to them but all the food was good and so was the service.
