Good choice outside Carmel

We had dinner and breakfast. It is the closest option to the Hyatt Highlands. The dinner menu was varied and the daily special is a good value. Breakfast may seem expensive, but not for this area. A good choice and we would return.

We stopped for a quick lunch. Service was fast and helpful. I ordered a burger and my wife had pasta. Both were hot and well prepared. We enjoyed our lunch and may go back while we are in the area.

It was a beautiful early spring day and our party of 3 had just hiked in the nearby Point Lobos State Park when we chanced upon this café. We decided to sit outside - and were the only guests who chose to do so. Perhaps that was the reason why we didn't get the timely attention from the waiter. We... More

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant while staying in Big Sur. The place itself has such a creative and artistic ambiance which made it a nice find in the area. We ate here for lunch and dinner. For lunch, their pizza was very tasty and we each had a glass of wine. Long story short, for a personal pan... More

My daughter and I had dinner here and we both thought the food was excellent, well prepared, flavorful and just a little different. The staff was warm and friendly, the service was great. I liked the colorful decor and it was not loud, I could hear the conversation of my daughter even when the restaurant was busy.

Off highway 1, in the Crossroads complex in Carmel at the very back is Cafe Stravaganza. It's exterior appearance isn't something that's going to catch your eye, simply put, it looks like almost every other cafe or restaurant out there. Step inside and you'll be greeted by friendly staff and a delicious waft of various aromas coming from the kitchen.... More

We discovered this restaurant several trips ago, and each time that we return to Carmel, we go back for dinner. It's not the cheapest place in town, and it is by far not the most expensive. The cuisine is best described as Mediterranean. I describe it as tasty. You will too.

We had a pizza, and it was good and a Greek salad. Our server was very friendly and we had great service. It's a cute little place.

There are a lot of really fine restaurants in Carmel, only they cost an arm and a leg and your first born. To find a comfortable restaurant that serves good food at a reasonable price is a true discovery. This is such a place. It's down in the shopping center across the street from The Carmel Mission Inn, way in... More

This restaurant is a very good place to have breakfast. It is in the shopping center at the corner of Highway 1 and Rio road. Service was very good and all of us enjoyed the food.
