Fabulous Dinner

We went here with another couple for a night without kids. We had the best time and a fantastic dinner! Service and food were great! It was expensive, as most things are in that area, but worth every penny!

The homes in the Carmel by the sea area are absolutely charming and this restaurant was no different. Our dinner was delicious, the wine was excellent and our service was perfect! The menu is VERY varied and had many delicious choices. Perfect for a special night out also. We would go again next time in town!

I liked this place - went for dinner on Sunday night around 8:30 PM. While it's white tablecloths and crystal, you can still feel comfortable in casual attire. No sneakers tho. They have a bar and outdoor area where day clothes are probably ok. Their filet mignon was wonderful-seasoned with salt and crushed peppercorns and served simply with a light... More

On vacation, restaurant recommended by a local resident. Tables were really close together, sat near a very loud customer who made dining difficult to enjoy. Food was ok, bland. Service was good. No desire to return.

If you are looking for a beautiful, quaint restaurant in Carmel - this is it! Everything from the wine, eggs benedict with the best hollandaise sauce - service, etc. was exceptional. This is our new go to place and have recommended it to all of our friends. There is outside patio dining as well as a full bar inside. We... More

Gorgeous day in beautiful Carmel and this is where we chose to have lunch on the patio and with our big dog. The food was delicious and paired with a lovely bottle of wine, good service and comfortable atmosphere, we had a lovely time! The onion tartlet to start was yummy. Extensive wine list which was nice but a bit... More

We took our family here for a special occasion and were not disappointed. The food was outstanding and worth every penny if you enjoy fine dining. The quality of the sauces and presentation were excellent and that can make all the difference if you have high expectations. We dined on the patio and I would describe it as casual elegance.... We were back where we used to live, beautiful Carmel, Ca., stepped into the warm ambiance of Grasing's, right off the plaza, owner, Mr. Grasing, present to speak with his lunch guests. No pretense, just genuine care, we love that. He's been there 18 years already (when others have come & gone). Our server, Angel, did a first rate job... More

We returned to Grasing's this year with good memories of very good food and great service. Happy to report that the food quality was just as delicious as remembered; the service less so. Given the caliber of dining at Grasin's, I was expecting service to be better than the slow, uneven service we experienced that night.
