Opposite to another reviewer's opinion, I liked the onion tart very much. I also liked the main course, which were scallops. And the espresso in the end had nice crema, although it could have been a little stronger. The service was good. It was not excellent, but it was definitely good and a nice evening spent. more

After reading a few of the travel advisor reviews my wife and I were excited to try Graising. Going in I really wanted to like this place. But these are the reasons we didn't. It all comes down to mediocre food. My wife had the onion tarte that was soggy. She sent that back. Her seared tuna had little flavor.... more

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally get to when we visited Carmel this past weekend, we were seated at a window table which was very nicely appointed, the dining room is very elegant and the service was friendly and attentive. I started with the Butter Lettuces salad which was very fresh and the Crab... more

we ate dinner at grasings to celebrate our 7th anniversary. we were treated to two glasses of champagne and even better service. our waiter was exceptional. he was gracious and kind and never seemed overbearing. the food was great. my husband had a steak while i tried the pork tenderloin. to top it off, we each had the chocolate souffle... more

Not sure why this restaurant is not at the top of the list. It was just great. The service was excellent, and the food, from unique, delicious salads to entrees that you couldn't stop at, to a mouth-watering dessert were all quite perfect. Expect the bill to top $50/person, and easily could be more, but worth the price. more

Great food enjoyed by all six of us at lunch. Prices for food and wine were reasonable. Wait staff pleasant and efficient. A home run! p.s. We travel and dine out frequently. Trust us when we say it is good. more

We visit Carmel every year and remembered grasings as an excellent restaurant for lunch. This time we chose to have dinner and were very disappointed. The cabbage salad was very good but the rest of the meal was mediocre at best. Stay away from the roasted artichoke. it is flavorless and very little crabmeat (from the claw not backfin lump)... more

We reserved a table at Grasings for dinner this past weekend as a result of reading all the positive reviews, not just here, but on other sites as well. To start with the good things, we were seated at a very nice table. We found the hostess, waitstaff and busboy all very polite, friendly and responsive. We also liked the... more

Had heard good things about Grasings, so stopped by with friends while shopping on a recent weekday - we're from out-of-town. The restaurant is small in scale, although has two main rooms plus a small outside patio. White linens on the table, comfy seating. Our group had sandwiches - eggplant on one, roasted turkey on the others. These simple sandwiches,... more

I went to Grasings for my wife's birthday, so I was quite worried about the outcome. I had asked for a good table as part of our reservation, which they were able to honor. We both chose the price fixed menu with the wine pairing (a very good deal by the way). The food was just outstanding. Same with the... more
