Pricey but worth it

I've usually sat in the bar and enjoyed Grasings Bar Menu (a good deall - the sirloin tacos are to die for and the bartenders very attentive and fun). Instead this time opted for dinner in the dining room. The hostess immediately observed many of us were wearing lint-magnet black pants and gave us... read more

Found Grasing's on TripAdvisor and after seeing their drink and lunch menu decided it was the place to go. The bartenders are the best I had a Persephone's bliss and it was blended perfectly, the Bellini was yummy love it when they contain puree and if you like lemon drops you will love theirs it was the best one I... This visit was I believe my third visit to Grasing's and once again I came away very pleased with both the food and service. Started this time with a Ceasar salad that my wife and I shared. It was quite good, but I've had far better, primarily due to the dressing which was lacking in my opinion. We both ordered... More

Grasing's is a really fine restaurant, with professional service and excellent cuisine. The ambience is classy, quiet, with well-spaced tables. I started with a delicious butter lettuce salad with candied walnuts, balsamic pears, and Point Reyes blue cheese; and my main course was an amazing creation of sea scallops, spinach/cheese ravioli, artichokes, and wild mushrooms....one o the best entrees I've... My wife and I had dinner at Grasings. It's a classy place suitable for a high quality meal at fine dining prices. Good for a romantic dinner. I found the restaurant a bit too stuffy for my taste, a bit like I was being judged about what I ordered. The wait staff was reasonably attentive, just a bit snooty. We... More

My wife and I had the opportunity to dine at Grasing's during our trip to Carmel. We were treated a a great warm spinach salad and to our surprise, baby abalone for the main course. Michael was great a server. We enjoyed the whole evening and the experience.

We elected to sit at the bar, a great decision. The service was SO good; professional, prompt and enjoyable. We were able to order from the entire menu and the selected items arrived almost immediately. Fresh, unique and tasty describes virtually all of the diverse menu items. A wonderful location in Carmel!

What a wonderful way to start a weekend in Carmel! Service was great, a wonderful wine selection. Nice offers of vegetarian options if that is your cup of tea. Butter salad, bone in filet, lasagna, truffle polenta, cookie dessert. All yum, yum, yum

Ate here on recommendation. Came away disappointed. From the outside and as you walk in, it looks a very nice place to eat. Not to brightly lit, tables laid out formally and reasonably busy. Wine list appears extensive with lots of $100+ bottles available however the food menu was less varied and very overpriced. I know this is Carmel but... More
