We went in after reading some reviews (with reservation of course.) We were a bit disappointed when we had to wait 15 more minutes, then we were called in by an waitress. Another girl came and told us "Oh a miscommunication, we are not ready for you." She really shooed us out with her hand gestures. My first disappointment. After... More

We went here for our anniversary dinner and were disappointed on many levels. The restaurant itself is lovely and very interesting. The menu I expected to see based on their website had changed and did not have what I was hoping for. My husband had a wonderful rack of lamb-the full eight ribs. My halibut was pretty and tasty, but... More

What can I say? We love this place. Come here every time we are in Carmel and are always happy we did. My wife had beef ragu with pappardelle. I had rack of lamb. Mine was very good but hers was amazing. Was going to order that too but didn't want to get the same entree. I hadn't had lamb... More

There were 6 of us, 3 couples and each experienced the romantic spirit of the restaurant. I ate the rack of lamb, medium, and I have to say it was by far the best meal at our table. Their service was superb and their wine list has more than anyone ever needs. We even asked to visit their wine cellar... More

When we left Casanova's they were lined up to get in. This was a Friday night but with all the options in Carmel this was the place for Italian food. The place is a tad eclectic which makes it more interesting. The food was amazing and they had an extensive wine list. Good service. Reservations recommended.

Would have liked to try this place. Several friends had recommended. We were walking in to get a seat and were turned away by the snotty hostess in the front. We were initially told there would be a long wait. When we inquired about the wait time we were snubbed as if we were not welcomed. My husband has a... More

My son and his wife were in Carmel a few weeks before and told us not to miss Casanova Restaurant in Carmel. He was not wrong. We had lunch there on a Saturday afternoon and ate on their patio. We loved the place as soon as we walked in the front door. It was very old world Italian in its... More

A very romantic setting for a special weekend for lovers in Carmel. Great wine list. Interesting, inspired menu and generous portions. We made the dinner reservation earlier on the same day as the evening we were dining instead of well ahead of our visit to Carmel. The restaurant is laid out like it had been pieced together out of many... More
