A big fan over the past 30yrs----while the service is excellent & it has a decent wine list, the lunch menu has been cut way back and, simply put, has become boring. They need to mix it up with some specials. Especially for us "weekenders". That being, my mussels this time we're not fresh- a bit... read more

Never done a negative review before, but this just deserved it! The restaurant looked nice and the table setting was beautiful. However, at wait staff recommendation we shared a $44 fish stew. When it came it was very small, with one small crust of burned bread. When I tried to cut the bread in half it literally dripped some sort... More

We had a great lunch. Al fresco dining at it's best on the terrace. Soup was presented beautifully. I had lovely mussels. Wonderful wine. Warm and friendly service. and fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommend it to anyone. A local couple recommended it to us. I would not have chosen Casanova without their recommendation and I am so grateful they suggested we... More

Celebrating our achievement of life master in bridge we went to Casanova's. We shared our favorite appetizer, spinach gnocchi, and had the cannelloni for our entre. Our bottle of Turley Zin wine topped off a beautiful, unforgettable day.

We have been going to Casanova for many many years. I used to love their menu format. It was a fixed format. Dinner started with a family style plate of assorted tapenades, cold beans, olives, vegetable relishes and wonderful bread. Then you had to choose an appetizer, maybe their signatures mushroom caps prepared like escargot or their rich puffy gnocchi... More

I have been eating dinner's at Casanova's for many years. I love the food and the quality of food is excellent as well as the wine list. Prices have jumped, but I still have to have my celebrated dinner and my dogs have always been with me with no problems. Bella.

the ambiance, food, and service were awesome! it is a little bit off the main drag and tucked behind a weird gas station but it is so worth it and it's still within walking distance. it truly is a beautiful rustic, cozy and pretty place. it totally earns it's claim to be the 'most romantic restaurant in carmel.'

Had been there many times in the distant past.....loved the food and the service then......the food is still good, the service is also excellent.....the prices are up there! They have expanded exponentially over the years and when you aren't in the original part (that we knew), it isn't quite the same.....we will go back to see if "the old Casanova"... More

It was a birthday celebration for me that I will never forget! This is the best Italian Cuisine I have found west of Buffalo, NY. Staff are very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Setting and background Italian music are worth the trip by themselves. Caters to families as well as couples. Strongly suggest reservation as always crowded. We were seated within... More

Casanova is supposed to be one of the best restaurants in Carmel but there are many others that are better. The service was poor, although the server was very pleasant. And they charge you $5. for 4 slices of bread- really? You can't eat pasta without bread! Our lunch was nothing special. The cannelloni was bland, and the cream sauce... More
