We celebrated our 30th Anniversary at Casanova's. It was delicious & delightful! The restaurant is small (I think all restaurants in Carmel are) and the tables are close to one another, but the service was wonderful. We were very well cared for and made to feel special on our special day. For us, this was an expensive meal...something we would... More

Casanova was the first great dining experience we had in Carmel many years ago. We chose it based on curb appeal only, knowing nothing else. The food, wine list and service delighted us and it quickly became our favorite. We returned the next night and have rarely been to Carmel without two dinners there. But, I have to agree with... Casanova is always mentioned as a must visit restaurant when a trip to Carmel is being discussed. It had been many years since my last visit, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Hostess was very nice and accommodating as I made a late lunch reservation about 30 mins before we arrived. The interior is great, the food is good... More

This is a lovely place for romance, or lunch or dinner with friends. The atmosphere is very European, the food delicious, the wine selection very good.

We followed a friend's suggestion to eat at Casanova and we were not disappointed. The restaurant's decor was wonderful. . . so full of charm! The seven of us were seated in an intimate and delightful private room surrounded by some very interesting knick knacks. While the menu seemed to be a bit restricted, the selections were great. . .... More

Hi, I am 32 years old from Florence, Italy, I love cooking and good food and wine. I came to Casanova suggested by a relative. Only positive note: bread with olive oil. I did typical "fettunta", asking for very simple salt any it was amazing! Very good bread and fresh oil olive. For the remaining part of dinner, I am... More

Loved the homebaked bread and butter, my meal was delicious and my husband was impressed with the house favorite--the short ribs. The staff was friendly and helped us pair our meals with wine and beer. The desserts were crazy good, my fav is Creme Brulee'and it did not disappoint. Ask for Emily, she is a sweetie!
