Awesome lunch

We decided on lunch at Casanova for a couple reasons. They have a nice outdoor patio that is dog friendly and their excellent reputation. We both had bit days during the week so we wanted something nice. For wine lovers, the list is extensive so you'll be able find something to enjoy. We had a wonderful gnocchi appetizer as well... Food was very good. Service was excellent. Would certainly eat there again. Casual atmosphere. The maitre'd was very cordial and when asked if we could come earlier than our scheduled reservation, couldn't have been nicer. Wonderful experience

Absolutely first rate food and service. A bit expensive but worth it. We were happy to have made a reservation as the place was filled on a weekday night.

A friend recommended this restaurant to me and I was so glad he did. If you don't already feel like you are on vacation when you are in Carmel, this restaurant will make you feel like you are in a family restaurant in the middle of Europe. The meal was delicious, and the wine list was overwhelming! We asked for... More

We love the mussels and fries. Delicious! However, we always go for lunch, not dinner. We had a dinner in the past that was very below average and the sommelier was very snooty and made us feel like third-class citizens. Very disappointing, especially for the high prices! However, we do return at lunchtime for the wonderful atmosphere and delicious mussels... More

We’ve been to Casanova several times in the past and have always been pleased, this visit was no exception. Our Server was wonderful, friend, accommodating, and had great timing. We like to enjoy our food and wine so we don’t like the courses coming out one right after another, we told him our desire to have a leisurely dinner and... More

Lunch with friends. Outside- awning covered-patio. Staff attentive and pleasant. Food average--had mussels and a salad. Others mostly salads--looked okay, but not gourmet or creative. Pleasant atmosphere--but glad we went for lunch--not dinner. (Checked the dinner menu and I find $30 or more pastas off the mark.)

This restaurant has a very below average menu. They served good pink Rack of Lamb (New Zealand ?) with Brussel sprouts that were so hard I could have used them in my 12 bore.Their wine list supposedly extends to some 2000 different wines in stock.when challenged there were more than a few gaps.Simply the FOOD DOES NOT MATCH THE SIZE OF... Great wine list plus a nice choice of wine by the glass---including the house's very own----a lengthy selection of luncheon choices---plus a long list of specials---made it hard to decide what to eat. I don't think you can go wrong with any choice. Food and wine delicious, service very good, and the various selections of which room in which to... More
