Wonderful couple that have owned this small cafe since 1978.

Great comfort food, we loved the old style local diner. Good food, modest prices and comfortable personal friendly service. We will definitely be back!

We came here early in the morning before the weekend brunch crowd, and had a great time! The food was great, but Friar Tuck and the staff made the morning fun and entertaining. Would definitely come back!

Wanted a quick bite to eat at a not too expensive place in Carmel by the Sea and stumble upon this place. It's a diner, oldschool vibe, but the food looked good so we stayed. Had the burgers, mine was the stuffed with artichokes, it was amazing and the fries were very big and crunchy. Very surprised with this place.

If you are into long lines and paying high prices for breakfast, try Katy's a couple blocks up, but if you want a hearty and fair priced breakfast in Carmel, Friar Tuck's is the place. Not knocking Katy's as we have had very good breakfasts there too! You'll find many locals dining at Friar Tucks!

a fairly small place with the usual menu offerings for breakfast and lunch. Food was good and plentiful. What makes this place special, is the attention from the owner/cook, who takes the time to make it a personalized dining experience.

What a great first impression! I am a Monterey County local and I currently have two jobs in Carmel but not much time in between. I was looking for something new to try and this place caught my eye. I placed a order to pick up on my way to job #2. As soon as I walked in I was... More

Loved the older cafe style ambience of this place. Owner operated with very friendly service. If you are craving a Hamburger hot off the grill this is the place for you.

My husband, 5 kids and I went to Friar Tucks for breakfast and had a blast! Staff is terrific and the food is good. Good basic breakfast menu with all the family favorites. We would definitely recommend.

In Carmel for one night, had a fantastic breakfast at Friar Tuck's. First rate coffee and French toast to die for. $50 for four of us. Give it a go.........
