Good breakfast

This small diner has good prices and value. Love the eggs benedict. Friendly staff. My husband loves eating here and we have been here many times.

Friar Tucks is a good, reasonably priced place to eat. I am reminded of a small town restaurant with meat and potato type food.

My wife and I got to this place for breakfast every time we come to town.. They have excellent portions, quality omelets and a variety of choices on the menu.. Also a reasonable cost compared to most in the area.. The issue we have is the chef will come out and constantly bother the customers.. cracking jokes to them while... More

We live locally so have the opportunity to try many of the breakfast restaurants in the area. THIS WAS THE WORST BREAKFAST WE HAVE EVER HAD LOCALLY. The hostess (possible owner?) was stressed with taking names for the breakfast rush but despite being brusque she kept things straight. The restaurant has approximately 8-10 tables only and you are in like... More

We had breakfast here one morning while in Carmel. The restaurant is quite small and is unpretentious. Service is subject to delay if you time it wrong - the owner cooks alone (while we were there) so you might be in a queue. As with a lot of food establishments in the US, portions can be quite generous so on... More

Good classic diner breakfast, easy to walk to from your Carmel-By-The-Sea inn. Cheap! My husband really likes the benedict.

We had breakfast at Friar Tucks during Monterey Car Week. We didn't have to wait for a seat and the service was good. My husband and I both had waffles, and I added a mimosa. The bathroom key is attached to a skillet. :)

This was our 3rd time to this tiny gem. Why wait an hour plus at Katie's when the food here is just as good, if not better. We waited 10-15 minutes on a Saturday at 10am. My wife had the Pancake Combo and I had the waffle combo. My waffle was golden brown, crisp, and a hint of vanilla. The... More
