I LOVE foods from Jordan and surrounding countries. So the reviews of this restaurant begged us to come. We made reservations well in advance. It is a tiny place, but tables were spaced apart allowing conversation on a normal level. The owner and his son worked the room with great flair and conversation. We started out with the grilled octopus... More

We visited Yafa on our last night in Carmel and were so glad we did. We only found out about this place on the night, so turned up hoping we would get a table. It was fully booked when we got there but the owner worked his magic and within 5 minutes we were sat down. Charming owner who chatted... More

We stumbled across this restaurant totally by chance and so glad we did, excellent food and such a charming little venue. The host was a delight himself and came over to chat with us at the end of the meal, telling us the history of the restaurant (upon our request) and the intriguing family history along with it. If ever... More

We didn't have a reservation but got seated right away. Had the meze as appertizer and it was delicious. The staff was very service minded and professional. I had the pasta as main and my girlfriend something with aubergine, delicious as well. Thanks for a great evening!

Of the100+ restaurants in Carmel area, this one is absolutely not to be missed! Arriving for our reservation, Yacoub (Jacob), the host, intimately took my elbow while stating “My lady, please may I show you to your table” in a voice so sincere that what could easily have been viewed as a chauvinistic gesture was in fact merely the quintessential... Nice ambiance, Great food and very friendly service. Had a wonderful dinner here. Not a tourist trap and you don't have to spend an arm and a leg for some fresh light delicious dinner, in a charming restaurant in downtown Carmel. It was lovely and a great value. Food was delicious. Chicken/Shrimp skewers are highly recommended.

We had dinner here and it was great. Very convenient if you are staying in downtown Carmel. We had the eggplant dish (Teta's Eggplant Delight) and it was very good. Our friends had other dishes and they looked very good also. I recommend the vegetarian lentil soup also; it was excellent. This restaurant has a family vibe to it. Everyone... More

We stopped by without reservations to a nearly full restaurant, the staff was very apologetic not to get us seated immediately, and when they did, they ensured we were happy with our table. How often does that happen? We immediately relaxed after a long and tiring day. The staff continued to go out of their way to ensure we were... More

We fell in love with Yafa and the sweet man who made us feel like family when we walked through the door. He promised us it was worth the wait and it was! The mezze was delicious, with feta, olives, artichoke, hummus, tabouli, pita and more. We loved our entrees and the dessert was out of this world. The pistachio... More

Great place, great food, and service. We were visiting from NY and this was one of the best places we ate in on our trip. Highly recommend it.
