Had to pick up some for the road

We went in and looked around they have a good variety of meats. We chose some pork sotre pancetta and calabrese salami and fresh bread. It was all very tasty. Price was very good. I looked on the Carmel map of the must go places and this was one of them. We do not have a salumeria where... read more

After a long day of driving the coastal highway we returned to Carmel just in time to get excellent Italian sandwiches to take to the beach in time for sunset. The owner is an east coast transplant so we knew we were in for a treat being Philly born and raised. Nobody does deli sandwiches better than Philly and NY!

It took us a while to figure out the menu options, but the sandwiches we ordered were delicious. I wish we'd had more opportunities to stop by.

We grabbed some meat, cheese, bread, olives and a slice of pizza here before heading down to the beach. The counter staff was very friendly and helped us pack everything up to go. There's no seating here. Delicious selection of salamis and a variety of cheeses. Fresh crusty breads.

Following a fun afternoon strolling Carmel's myriad tiny streets and offbeat alleyways we were weary of shops and sore of feet. We stopped by one mid-afternoon recently and ordered two slices of the Pizza Margherita, personally heated for us and served with a smile, along with italian lemon soda. We happily took our hefty snack next door to Piccadilly Park... More

We were driving from San Francisco to LA with our 4 teenage children and made a stop in Carmel for lunch. My daughter is deathly allergic to tree nuts and I specifically asked the woman who was making the sandwiches if there were any nuts becausw the sandwich description was very vague. She looked at the ingredients and said "no,... More

High quality items at an even higher price. But more importantly, there's not much on offer--just a handful of meats and cheeses by the pound, only a couple breads (which they were totally clueless about how to slice, and mauled), and a shelf of fairly useless but pretty items in jars. Decent, if tiny, wine selection. Must be the only... More

It seems everything I ate came from the farm the same morning. The tomatoes and mushrooms on my brick oven pizza were like nothing like I have tasted before. The pasta is made on the premises and you can tell. Service and ambiance were top notch, I can tell you the numerous tourists from Italy and France must have felt... More

Fabulous panini for a delicious lunch. The Calabrese and the Piemonte were both excellent. It was hard to choose since everything looked yummy but there is a section on the menu to build your own sandwich if you do not see exactly what you want. If you make a left leaving Luca you will come upon a lovely courtyard with... More

I decided to come to Salumeria Luca's to get food for an evening picnic with husband and friends. I'm so glad I did. The service was outstanding....I mean, one usually doesn't find such kindness in a deli! The sandwich I ordered for my husband was fantastic. I fell for the desire for gelato after seeing their selection. Do this. You... More
