Great food, but the view from the restaurant to the ocean is even better .. 'stunning !!!

Our group of seven people, four (4) of them celebrating their birthday on the same day, went there to celebrate this event. It was a full success. Great food, excellent wine, nice and friendly service and what an awesome view to the Pacific Ocean. Simply a great evening, including the sunset.We... read more

What a View!! You need to arrive before dark. The food was good and the champagne was lovely. It was the last night of our vacation and it was a special way to end our visit.

I think the let down was the fact that we didn't see a sunset that evening as it was cloudy. Obviously that is no fault of the restaurant. The food was delightful and the staff were charming. The ambience was very bleak though and the decor was dated and frumpy.

What a pity that their service is so poor. The only person who was attentive and friendly was the hostess. Great start. Yes, the view is fantastic However, you need to trip the wait staff to get anything. The waiter took forever to come by. He then gave a long sell on the fresh shrimp. Then he disappeared for a... Our dinner began on a positive note with our wait staff appearing to be attentive. However, once our order was taken things just progressively got worse. My husband's beer was forgotten and we had to ask twice for it to be delivered to the table. The wait between our starters and our entrees was excessively long. The worst was dessert!... More

The food wasn't that good, it was nothing special and it was too expensive. But the view is amazing, but not sure it's worth it.

The view is awesome! The service is great! The food is good! The octopus confit was out of this world; so tender... Salmon was good as well. The wild mushroom ravioli were also good. Don't miss it!

We had dinner twice in our 4 day stay. Our servers George and Frederico were were very attentive and friendly and the sommelier was knowledgeable and right on with his recommendations.

Yes everyone has said it is over priced but you pay for the view and it is breathtaking. You won't find a better view in Carmel or Monterey as we tried. I will say $65 for a new york strip is pricey and the food was really good, not ruth chris quality but good enough. The service and staff were... More

You will notice that most every review of either this hotel or dining establishment at the Hyatt Highlands Inn is quite complimentary of the view. And I could not agree more. The builders of the facility were quite thoughtful about nestling this property in such a beautiful part of Carmel, the Highlands. The views from the floor to ceiling windows... More
