This is a good place for lunch and like everything in Carmel it isn't cheap. Lunch for 4 with only 1 person 1 glass of wine and 1 Bloody Mary and no deserts was just over 100 including tip. However the food was good, the service was excellent and the atmosphere for a casual lunch with old friends was excellent.... More

This is actually two (or even three) different places in one. There's a proper restaurant on one side, a faux olde worlde pub on the other and, in between, a courtyard with leafy stuff and open fires. Which is where we enjoyed a very pleasant evening, socialising with complete strangers at neighbouring tables and eating excellent ribs, washed down with... More

Booked a table for 8.00pm! Arrived around 7.20pm and went to advise that we were early and would be sitting at the bar! Before I could finish my sentence I was told that "there was no way we could eat any earlier"! We did not want to eat earlier just wanted to confirm our arrival! Then we noticed that the... More

It's easy to walk past the Hog's Breath - the only hint of the place is a simple sign hanging in front of a nondescript building. Enter through the passageway and you arrive in what can be best described as a tranquil oasis. A large inner courtyard is dominated at one end by a huge, colorful mural as is dotted... More

Is management paying attention? Sat at the lovely bar for some drinks and appetizers before dinner. While I realize there may not be servers in the bar area, we got drinks and appetizers and waited 45 minutes to get the bartenders attention to clear the table etc. he was busy chatting with staff while the restaurant was 80% empty. We... More

Good news/bad news, we were able to capitalize on the CA drought and had great weather during our stay in Carmel at the beginning of October. The outdoor patio here, with its overhead heaters and cute stone fireplaces offered good warmth to extend the outdoor dining experience. We began with the calamari and two orders of the artichoke appetizers. All... More

We had dinner here one night and really enjoyed it. The food and the service was lovely! On top of that there was some great original artwork on the walls of Clint Eastwood which you could purchase directly from the artist. The atmosphere in the Inn was great and it made for a great night. We would eat here again!

I ended up going to Hogs Breath Inn because my dad thought it was cool that Clint Eastwood use to own it. The whole set up of the place was really cool.We ate outside. I liked the old style and the outdoor fireplaces. My dad liked whatever meal he got. But if anyone decides to go here I do not... More
