Staying in Carmel, so we decided to try this establishment. We waited for approximately 6 minutes before anyone came to assign us seats. Finally, a server offered us a nice table close to a little outdoor fire pit, but then our menus were removed from her hand and tossed onto another table and were told we could sit there instead.... This is one of our favorite before dinner spots in Carmel. What could be better than drinks and appetizers in front of your own fireplace in a quiet courtyard? Well, add some jazz on that soundtrack and you are good to go. Sit back and enjoy. Staff is friendly and efficient.

Really neat restaurant but the food is always lacking. While it's one of the coolest restaurants in town the food doesn't live up to the atmosphere.

Wasn't great, pretty expensive for what we got. The crab cakes were exceptional. Really delicious! I had Cannelloni, the husband had their pork chops. We shared a cup of soup because I read on Trip Advisor that it was great! Unfortunately, Gino's in Salinas has a better Artichoke soup (theirs is a bisque). My cannelloni was good. Husbands pork chop... More

The atmosphere and food are great! Every time I have eaten there the food and service have been wonderful. I ate there with a family member that is allergic to peanuts on a recent visit. She had ordered a salad that had no indication on the menu that it contained peanuts. This is a Serious Issue for someone with a... More

Stopped for a quick lunch while shopping in Carmel. The history and charm inside the little pub was contagious along with the Clint Eastwood memorabilia. My teenagers loved it!The swordfish sandwich was terrific! Would go back again!

Who can go to Carmel and not eat at the Hog's Breath? My wife and I were here 20 years ago, now, married and with two teenagers, we came back. We popped in for a drink, around 1500. Really great service, really nice surroundings and atmospohere, enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine and a 'chill'. We went back at... More

We had a fine time here watching the World Cup championship. The food was good, ( swordfish sandwich and Chinese chicken salad were both great) but overall the place was just meh. I'm not sure why, we had good service and the outdoor space was great but nothing really called to me.

Stopped here for lunch as we traveled on Highway 1. Neat to sit outdoors and we enjoyed our meal. Neat surroundings outdoors- glad that we made a stop here.
