The bbq pulled pork sandwich for lunch was terrible. The meat was very dry, took two bites and was done with it and the waiting staff didn’t even care when telling them so. The prime rib sandwich was overly salted and looked like it was microwaved. The crispy calamari was ok for this pup grub restaurant/bar. Clint Eastwood should have... More

Love the Old West ambiance and of course the outdoor seating. The service was good although a bit slow and the food was fantastic (a bit pricey). We had the calamari (yum!) and I had the King Salmon which was tasty. Kev had the Baby Back ribs and enjoyed them. I ordered a Pina Colada from the bar but wasn't... More

I loved hanging here with my family before our long drive to Big Sur. Perfect spot to unwind before the winding road ahead. Calamari was scrumptious. The crab cake was delish! I could of eaten about four more. HA! I loved the bar, super quaint! Oh and yeah the Clint Eastwood connection does not hurt a bit. Love the history... More

The Good.....the courtyard is a very nice setting..all fairy lights and roaring fireplace ... The Bad.......very, slow service..and it wasn't that it was busy...a mediocre and overpriced menu. The Ugly......our undercooked burgers ... If Clint ate here these days ..he'd be reaching for his 44, ..very disappointing ..

Given its ownership history we feared this might be a bit of a high priced tourist trap, but not so.. The setting in a courtyard is nicely tucked away with a bar on one side The food was perfectly fine without being spectacular, straightforward uncomplicated fare and nothing to grumble about on the service either

Enjoyed our meal in the courtyard. Calamari is good and sliders were great. We liked the Clint Eastwood connection but only a few items are displayed in the bar associated with him. The food was ok and the service was good. The bar area is small but the decor is rustic and comfortable.

The best fried calamari! Our server was excellent! He made great suggestions and the food was fabulous. Weather great to sit outside and enjoy the terrific weather.

Ok - Carmel is very touristy and this place is just iconic and in the tourist vein. So that being said, the courtyard was nice...the fires weren't lit when we were there, but I'm sure it's a great place to hang out for drinks, etc. on cooler evenings. We just stopped in for an appetizer and a drink. Got seated... More

The restaurant was close to our lodging and after years of passing it by during previous trips, we decided to try it this year. The service was good and the setting was nice. But my husband and I both felt we got an average meal for the $90 it cost with no wine or dessert.
