We had quite high hopes of this place, but unfortunately they didn't really live up to them. Elsewhere in Carmel, places seemed lively and well attended, but at one point we were the only ones dining. Had we known before we went in (the dining area is hidden from view from the outside) we probably wouldn't have gone in ourselves.... More

We walked down the alley not knowing what to expect except we knew the restaurant had something to do with Clint Eastwood. The atmosphere was interesting right away with the indoor, outdoor look. Trees in the middle of the restaurant, very cool atmosphere with fireplaces. We ate in an outside courtyard area. There is also a little pub area. Murals... More

A real fun place to go for lunch. One wall has a giant size landscape. The food was good, the servings were generous. The service excellent. Highly recommend.

We dropped in to this great pub and restaurant twice while on holiday in Carmel. They do a good range of real ales and the staff are very talkative so you are never on your own. Around the bar there are photos that add to the very interesting atmosphere. There was a good range of food in the restaurant which... More

Very cute small place in Carmel right in the heart of the shopping and studio area, with a short walk back off the street you enter a neat little place in a small cove type opening. We were seated outdoors next to the fireplace even though it was not lit because it was a warm sunny, beautiful day. Service was... More

Although my 13 year old grandson had no idea who Clint Eastwood is, he enjoyed his burger and fries in the outdoor seating area. Every ones meal was great and service was very good. A bit pricey but it is after all Carmel and we brought our dogs with us and of course they were welcomed too.

We went with the reputation of this being Clint Eastwood's restaurant but were disappointed in the food. The portions were not very large and the prime rib was very ordinary, not seasoned much. The French fries were great, though. I would recommend stopping in to see some of his photos on the wall but not necessarily for the food.

We've been to Carmel several times and always love the Hog's Breath. As Oregonians we always choose to sit outdoors under the lighted tree and blazing fire places, or in the cozy bar. Often we try to venture to another restaurant, but always find ourselves back here. Can't decide if it's the ambiance, the service or the amazingly consistent taste... More

We first went to forge in the forest but had terrible service so we walked over to hogs breath and we were not disappointed. We had a private table by a fire place excellent service and the food and drinks were amazing.

The food is really great and authentic. The service was good. The interior and the patio real nice. I really liked this place, I would definitely go back there!
