Never even got in the door

We tried to go to this restaurant last March as it came highly recommended as the best seafood in town. The food is excellent and the service top notch. The ahi is highly recommended, as are the calamari starter and California tower. Even the complimentary fried wonton wrappers were tasty. Our party has thirsty people who drink a lot of water, but the attentive staff keeps the glasses filled at all times. They were fully booked when we got there... More

The innkeeper at Briarwood Inn in Carmel recommended this restaurant to us. It was excellent in every way. My husband had the Ahi Tuna and I had the Sea Bass. Wow, awesome! The waiters and waitresses were top notch.

Ate here with my wife on our recent visit to Carmel. We had booked the previous evening and so on arrival we were immediately shown to our table. The service and food were both excellent. Our waiter showed a genuine interest in his job and was attentive but not unduly intrusive. We shared an excellent Calamari starter and then had... More

What a great restaurant. Our innkeeper made reservations for us (thank you Carmel Country Inn) for the second night of our stay in Carmel. What a delightful restaurant. Lovely attentive service in every way. Food was amazing...myself and another member of our partyI had the sea bass which they are known for; the other two members had the ahi and... More

My Husband and I arrived at the restaurant and were seated in a booth. The rstaurant is very cozy and across from us in an adjacent booth was another couple. We ordered wine and were looking at the menu when two young women joined the other couple. The voices escalated to the point that we could not hear eachother. The waitress... More

With Sunday night reservations, we were promptly seated in a filled restaurant. It is located in the basement level of a two story building. The inside is rather dark, so watch your step. We were seated in an intimate booth, in a room with 2 booths. Another couple was seated in the nearby booth, conducive for a friendly conversation, especially... More

Chanced here after reading recommendations in our B/B - no reservation in hand - and the gods smiled. We got a table for two and from that moment on felt as though we were duke and duchess or king and queen. What superb, friendly, gracious service and what food!!!! Thought we'd reached beyond ambrosia when our appies arrived and were... More

Our hotel recommended this place and we were very happy with the result. Everyone talks about the fried wontons and salsa and it was an addictive way to start the evening. The sea bass and tuna entrees were fabulous. The service was attentive and friendly. We were too stuffed for dessert (we thought) and the manager brought us two small,... More
