Amazing food, service and ambiance!

We were told to eat here by friends of ours. It was truly amazing! The Halibut and Sea Bass were just incredible. The owners were super nice and very customer focused. Our servers were fantastic and on the ball. The location is great as well. You cant go wrong eating here!

You know that people pay to get in the brochures and maps. Flying Fish doesn't and they don't have to. People either luck into it (as we did the first time), or get referred. Make sure to make a reservation or you may have trouble getting in. It's hard to characterize this place except to say it serves innovative fish... More

A really good meal, superb service from Tony, excellent main courses of Wild King Salmon and rare Ahi. The food is well presented and really delicious. The restaurant is unusual and divided into booths with lots of woods including the seating. We both really enjoyed our meal and evening

Went here for our anniversary and were welcomed by the owners. We were treated like royalty, with a lot of special treats as they really made the occasion special. We had the fresh fish and a steak dish. This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. Worth the price. Save room for the dessert as they offer some wonderful... More

We were fortunate to get 8pm reservations at this very popular restaurant in Carmel after reading all of the great reviews. From the time we got there, we were treated very well by all of the staff, and even given our choice of tables is this very cozy dining room. I had the artichoke appetizer (of course!) and the Almond... More

We heard this place was good, so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, it was downstairs and a little dark - not quite we expected in Carmel. We wondered if we had made a good decision. We quickly found out we had. Our service was immediate and excellent. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their... More

Our first time in this restaurant and we would not hesitate to eat here again on our next visit. The food was excellent! We were greeted warmly, our server was very personable, and the restaurant; though small, was very cozy and comfortable.

We love the Flying Fish; it is without question the best seafood restaurant in Carmel. First of all, the service is impeccable and always has been (thank you Tony!). Our 4 entrees were all exceptional in presentation and taste. I greatly enjoyed the sauce with the peppered ahi which had a unique sweet / sour flavor and the mushrooms were... More

Not easy to find (it's in a lower level of the Carmel Plaza off Mission) but once there, it was worth the effort. Maitre'd was very warm and welcoming. Had the sea bass which was delivered hot. Excellent is the only word I can think of to describe it. Service very attentive without being smothering. Walked from hotel so not... More

The restaurant ambiance was terrific. And it's quiet, well appointed and comfortable. From the moment of entry, Rich makes you feel like you're entering his home for a wonderful experience. The excellent food - almond crusted sea bass/halibut and equally excellent service made for an especially great evening. Definetly a place to which we will return. This is our favorite... More
