I get sad when my food is gone!

This IS the best restaurant in Carmel. We've been here several years in a row and there are always tons of familiar faces working there. That usually says they treat people well. The food, service and atmosphere are so awesome and we talk about it all year long..GO HERE!!

Wow. Really fricken wow!! We had 3 dishes and they were all something to remember. Almond Crusted Chilean Sea Bass, Lobster Tail and Nikumaki. Carmel is pretty small and chill but the concentration of good restaurants in such a touristy spot is just weird. We ate here 7 years ago and it's still amazing...and it seems like the same menu.... This restaurant is a little hard to find because the signage is very small( must be a city ordinance.) But once inside Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy. A very dark room.....family owned eatery that's been in biz for 21 years. Moderately priced at $76 before tip for 2....no alcohol. The ginger chicken was perfection.....the sea bass dressed on almonds superb. An appetizer... More

We had had a delicious meal with not so great eservice at the Flying Fish a few years ago but decided to try it again and we are so glad we did! The food and the service are everything you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. All four of us enjoyed our meals and plan on making the... More

We four started with a steamed artichoke with 2 dressing and think we could have eaten 4 chokes. The best artichoke I've ever tasted, better, even than Mom's... Japanese food at it's best!! Salmon fixed 3 ways and an elegant dessert with 4 spoons (green tea ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate syrup. Restaurant is small and intimate and is a... More

Owner operated restaurant, very friendly. Wanted a light Pinot and our server recommended the cheapest bottle on the menu which was really good. Tuna sashimi traditional but good. Tempura batter a bit too thick and oil should have been changed. Shabu dhabi don't follow the traditional method of giving you a plate of veggies and a plate of meat. All... More

This was our first time at this long-established restaurant, and I agree with the other excellent ratings. We had a very helpful and pleasant waiter, which made the meal that much more enjoyable. We started with the California Tower, which the waiter described as a large, unwrapped California roll (with less seaweed). I had the black bean halibut and my... More

This was our second visit to this restaurant as we were there about 10 years ago and enjoyed it then. It didn't disappoint! Love the table nooks and the atmosphere. The fried mussels were wonderful and we both had the ahi tuna entrees which were very tasty. Reservations are a must as it was very crowded, but we weren't rushed... More
