Stumbled on this place just walking by the Plaza Shops (North end of town). Wanted a dessert so we split a "chocolate brownie sundae (very tasty). Decided to go back & have a burger and "Wow", the added sauce (spicy ranch) really, really, was good. Plus, the onion rings were some of the best we've ever had! Prices are right,... More

Slow start. Drinks came quickly. Small wedge with blue cheese was OK, not great. Dressing was thin. Lamb burger with tzaziki sauce (lettuce wrap by request) was dry w/o much flavor. Kid's chocolate shake was good according to the 3 year old. Root beer float was great. Expensive.

It's pretty sad because my husband and I did the entire coast of California from San Diego to San Francisco. We ate at a lot of restaurants and this time around we struck out at pretty much at every single restaurant, except 400 Degrees Burger! It was great for the type of food you're getting. Big, juicy burgers that are... More

400 Degrees needs more advertisement. It's hidden off of Ocean Avenue, on a corner and on a side street, but looking in, lots of customers; reading the menu, lots of selections, not just hamburgers. Average price for a California restaurant with good hamburgers, turkey burgers, $10 and up, looked nice. We will try it on our next trip.

I recieved a gift certificate for this retaurant for Christmas and I took my mother there for lunch just expecting a palettable meal... I ordered a spicy chicked burger and garlic french fries... What I recieved was very dry french fries akin to what you would get from MacDonalds had your fries been under the heat lamp for 8 hours.... More

A laid-back burger joint in the heart of Carmel (well maybe not in the ‘heart’ but the right side…). It was a treat to get to 400 Degrees. While it’s nothing special – it fulfills the need and desire for a good burger and fries. It’s not fancy; but it does deliver the taste of a well prepared hamburger. Cooked... More

Garlic fries are fantastic! Good service, food and atmosphere! If you are passing through Carmel in Big Sur direction, take a time for a real American Burguer

When it was time to take a break from all the upscale cuisine in Carmel we headed to 400 degrees for burgers. They were simple but extremely tasty and perfectly cooked. Great fries and coleslaw too. Highly recommend.

400 Degrees- and yes that is the name except it uses the degree sign instead of the word- makes their own veggie patties fresh every morning. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and stopped by out of curiosity over the restaurant's name. One bite of the veggie burger took us from curiosity to delight. I have never tasted... More

We happened upon this place and decided to try it. The burgers, fries, and onion rings were very good! The burgers were a bit small and were expensive, but we would definitely eat here again. The service was great!
