Drinks and appetizers in the living room

Located within Doris Day's Cypress Inn. We stopped here for a drink but ended up ordering appetizers. I had the fried Calamari. Tasted a little curry but still delicious. Our server Olivia was very friendly and made us feel extra welcomed. Perfect end to our day trip in Carmel.

With beautiful music. The trio communicates well with the attendees, both musically and with light conversation. You can order libations and snacks, chat with others or sit back and relax. Delightful! My only suggestion would be different seating. I felt bad for those who only had plain chairs on the edge. We were on the sofas, but they were too... More

Upscale in Doris Day's hotel the Cyprus Inn famous for its dog friendliness. Small restaurant in the bar; up scale all the way; has a new bar manager who really knows his stuff and will undoubtedly bring the lounge to another level. Great garden for drinks and eating; strut your dogs if they are well behaved.

Enjoyed having dinner and beverages with friends. If you have a dog, this is a place you want to visit and be seated outside in the patio area.

How fantastic that you can bring your dog inside the Cypress Inn and sit with them in the bar/lounge area. The lounge has great atmosphere along with a TV. Service was great even on a busy weekend during the peak tourist season. There is a lounge with live performances and a lovely outdoor patio. I just wish they had a... More

We ate here for two dinners. The first night we had the hamburger and the seared ahi tuna. Both were good and we could bring our dog and relax outside. I had the lemon curd cake for dessert and it was good but I prefer moister cakes. The second night we had a light dinner of the fish tacos, again... More

This was just ok. Plenty of better places in Carmel to visit for a good drink. The hotel looked quaint and people were nice enough, but nothing special about the atmosphere. They did make a decent manhattan but used Old Forrester as the base. Really? How about a REAL bourbon! Try Grasings bar for better and more unique setting and... More

I felt like I was eating at an upscale retirement home. Bland, dated items on the menu. Food was cold and service was slow.

If you want a drink, to meet your friends, or to relax with your favorite pooch this is the place to come. Excellent dinners, expert drink makers, wonderful ambience.

haven't been there in a while.....according to local papers, they have changed their menu.....can be noisy since it is a restaurant/lounge, but the food is good and service excellent....is close to home and easy access....if you are in town with a pet, dogs are welcome in the bar area, lounge, patio as well as the hotel rooms....
