A very quaint cozy restaurant that serves a variety of different items from duck and steaks to pizza for the kids. The food is cooked to your liking and always fresh. They carry a large selection of red and white wines for every occasion. This a locals favorite restaurant.

Was hoping for more, perhaps dinner is more exciting. Stopped for lunch on a Sunday - crab salad sandwich was nothing exciting, just the way mom made it years ago; pizza fromage was not bad nor really good either; Overall it was okay, but there are better places to eat nearby.

While wandering around Carmel with a friend, we decided to stop for lunch. Our first two picks had waiting lists so we kept going until we came across Le St Tropez. Since there was plenty of room, we took a table and ordered a half bottle of white wine ($30). The staff were nice, patient while we chatted, looking at... More

We started with the french onion soup. It was barely mediocre. It was downhill from there. Crab cake was very small and tasteless. The mini pate sandwich assortment was absolutely awful..looked and tasted like canned spam. The mini bread slices were burned around the edges and very cold. They brought complimentary hummus to the table; it had absolutely no taste... More

The Le St. Tropez Restaurant on Delores Street between Ocean & 7th has excellent food and great decor, very knowledgeable and friendly staff. This is the second time we have eaten at this restaurant and each time, we have been more than satisfied. It's French Mediterranean Cuisine at its finest, my opinion. My dish was all fish: salmon, scallions, mussels,... More

We felt we were in France dining in a lovely quiet courtyard. Our food was very good. Our server was friendly but not overly so. The owner came over to our table to greet us and "chat it up". We always enjoy meeting and hearing people's stories. We ordered the $40 prix fixe menu - 4 courses with a glass... More

For several years we have visited Carmel for Poodle Days (a benefit for NorCal Poodle Rescue) so we are always looking for restaurants with outdoor seating where they allow people with pets. We were happily surprised to find this restaurant which we had previously overlooked. The food had a French bent and everything was excellent. The back patio was lovely... More

We recently revisited this restaurant. We sat in the outdoor space. It was just as nice as the first visit, although a bit more crowded. The service was very good. The food was not all that great. The Grand Marnier souffle, which we waited for [g] , was dry and nearly tasteless. In fact, when I put my spoon in... More

I waited to review this restaurant after my visit last year to see if the consistency of the food quality improved. I am pleased to say that it has and the kitchen delivers solid, consistent quality meals at what is a very reasonable price for Carmel. The outdoor seating area has been improved and is a beautiful enclosed courtyard with... More
