I didn't intend to go to Carmel for lunch, I went to Seaside to check out a FIAT dealer to change the oil in my car. Then one road led to another and I ended up here:Le St Tropez. I had an excellent Tuna Salad and one of the best Crème Brûlée for desert. The owner's son has just started... More

We have eaten here before and loved their Seafood Chowder....the best ever! More recently, we were a large group with lots of dogs and enjoyed dining on their courtyard. the waiters were efficient and very helpful. My main course was the short ribs, pricey at $27 and inedible....tough, dry, tasteless. The waiter brought us a new plate of spareribs....these were... More

We arrived in Carmel late on Sunday. Our rental apartment was right next door to Le St Tropez. How lucky was that?!! The service was great! The food was really good. I had onion soup to start. Always a favorite. We had 2 pasta, dishes, a Caesar salad with shrimp, and my husband had a Bistro Steak. Everything was cooked... More

In as high a priced village as you're likely to find -Carmel, it's great to fall upon a good value serving great meals. Both meals excellent, service very good, prices reasonable. Frankly, I'd have given this 4 stars were it not it the glitzy Carmel area - it stood out that much.

Were there yesterday ! Sat in the patio ! The chair had a very dirty seat and the waiter did not bother to get me another chair ! Ordered champagne, a dozen of oysters and cheese plate. Got half a dozen oysters and two pieces of ordinary cheese and there were more fruit than cheese . The bread was soooo... More

This recently opened restaurant is wonderful. Please keep in mind I only had lunch here but it was delicious. There is indoor seating as well as a lovely outdoor patio tucked in back not visible from the street. The service was very gracious. We had a coupon for a free appetizer with entree that they were willing to honor even... More

A very welcoming and lovely dining experience alone on business travel. The staff was well trained and very professional. they had excellent teamwork. I chose the salmon which was delicious as well as the warm cucumber salad. I had the warm apple tart with vanilla ice cream. Music was not french but was relaxing. The hostess advised I sit in... This review is for gluten free pizzas that we took to our hotel room, so I cannot comment on the restaurant service or ambiance. The pizzas, however, were delicious! The crusts were thin and crispy and the toppings fresh and abundant. What a treat! We'll eat at Le St Tropez next time we visit Carmel!

This is a very cute restaurant, but it seems a bit sterile. The food is good, and they have a VERY large selection of gluten free items. Highly recommended for that reason in particular.
