So happy that the Inn reccomended this French restaurant!! Ambiance was great! Not too noisy. Manager is on the money. Observing all tables. Front reception help welcoming. The young lady who was keeping all of the tables w their place settings was also on the money. Hard workers to make a good dining experience. Braised short rib stellar! Fish dish... More

We really enjoyed our evening and after being VERY disappointed with our last attempt at French Food in Carmel on our anniversary in May, we were pleasantly surprised to find such a little gem !! I'm so glad we gave French Food another try. Everything was delicious, the staff very kind and the atmosphere was nice too. It was a... More

Any Celiac or gluten-free person within the area MUST come here. This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had as a Celiac, and that is saying a lot because eating out is extremely tricky when trying to handle cross contamination. I called ahead and talked to Chef Jean when I made the reservation. He explained all of the... More

Found place almost empty at 6 while Dametra was on a wait list. But the food was very good as was the service. Braised ribs off the bone were excellent. No sharing charge. Nice ambiance - overall very nice experience

My wife and I both had the $40 prix pixe and was well worth it. We had the steak and house-made fries, which came with hot dijon sauce. Tasty, but I'd try a different sauce and a different starch. Food was typically good and expected for a country-French restaurant. Service was professional (except for the girl trying to hawk in... More

We stopped in for appetizers as this was our first stop in an evening of dining around Carmel. We had excellent fresh oysters, mushroom ravioli (what a sauce), and a small snack of hummus on their beautiful private dining patio. There are so many dining options in Carmel, restaurants need to stay on their game and this restaurant was on... More

This restaurant captures all the warmth of a summer's night in Provence. The blues and yellows of the decor immediately raise your expectations of having a fine French feast and we were soon immersed in all the flavours of excellent local produce. Highlights included lush oysters, a pommes dauphinoise which sat on the side of my chicken and artichoke dish... More
