Authentic French cuisine, excellent service, worth a return visit .

The sweetbread was out of this world so the oysters and the special of the night Loup de Mer was delicious . What a treat !!!!

Probably the least favorite of the places we ate at during our stay in Carmel. We anticipated more from the reviews of others and the recommendation of the owner of the hotel we stayed at but sadly it didn't meet those expectations. We went on a Saturday night and the place was full but it lacked atmosphere. The lighting was... More

We took finicky out of towners here for dinner. 7 of us. There comment after all the traveling they do was, " this restaurant is in their top 10 for best food ever". (Older couples 60's) We had the lamb shank, to die for..... Veal shop....he never lifted his head to speak.... Short ribs....yum Tenderloin...perfectly sauced..... Every salad is fresh,... More

We enjoyed the meal and the service was great. It was a little tight but good places should be busy at prime time on Friday night. My wife had the salmon and loved it. I had the pork and scallops and it was ok - not great but pretty good. We both loved the salads. I had the endive and... More

The entire staff was so warm and friendly. Great wine recommendation and the food was very good with nice portions (something my husband usually complains about with French food). We were so full by the time dessert came around, but we couldn't pass up on the duo of creme brulee (espresso and vanilla) and the fig torte. The fig torte... More

I've always made a stop here when I visit the peninsula. My preference and habit at Andre's is to plop down at the small bar they have and visit their great wine and appetizer lists. We have always had great fun with their sommelier and wait staff who is quite often a member of the family (restaurant owner). Cant go... More

Having booked the Hogs Breath Inn for dinner before we arrived and forgetting the time of the table we popped our head in to check the time and realised it wasn't going to be for us. We wandered around Carmel and came across this place. a real find. We had a lovely meal with nice wine, they even had a... More

Andre's was an excellent choice for our last night on the pacific coast. Everything was superb-the people, food and wines all hit their mark. A must for lovers of traditional French fare! Carmel parking can be a bit of a problem on the weekends. Helpful hint- the green curb “loading zones” expire after 5pm and are up for grabs to... More

My wife and I recently ate here for the first time and we will be back for sure. They have a varied menu with an emphasis on pan searing the meat and fish. My wife had the duck and I had th seabass. Both were over the top good!! The atmosphere is very nice and upscale. Service was promp and... More

Our dinner was prepared beautifully, with art but without pretension. The service was attentive, and responsive to our wishes.
