This was recommended by Vagabond House and did not dissappoint . Best mushroom soup ever and incredible perfectly cooked halibut. Overall top drawer all the way!

Located right off Ocean Ave in Carmel, Andre's is very nice family run restaurant in a lovely romantic setting. Our waiter was the owner's son, and he let us try the soup we were thinking of ordering as well as wine we eventually selected. On the recommendation of our waiter, I ordered the Alaskan halibut and my wife the Morro... More

An excellent restaurant. The portion of the food are quite decent size. We had each ordered the soups, the appetizers and the main entree and can you imagine, we have no room for dessert!! I mean, really no room for dessert. Everything on the menu just look so good so that's why we had ordered more then what we can... More

We have eaten at Bouchee four times in the last two years. How good are they? Well, we do a 220-mile round trip JUST FOR THIS RESTAURANT. We love sweetbreads, lobster, steak, and exquisite French sauces...and so does Chef Andre Lemaire, who does an incredible job with all of them, and more. In a classy, quiet, lovely dining room, this... More

We visited for lunch recently and were extremely pleased. They have a wonderful wine list. We ordered a bottle of Rombaur Chardonnay...which is always wonderful. We wanted Halibut which was only on the dinner menu. The chef did not hesitate to prepare it for lunch...a very nice touch. What was even better he cut the dinner price by 25% with... More

Perfect for a romantic dinner or an outing with friends. Extensive wine list and well thought out menu. Everything we ordered was delicious and the food and wine service were both very gracious. We'll look forward to returning on our next visit.

If you understand and love food, this is the best in Carmel. The foie gras was $20, which we split, but amazing. Actually it was $33, because we each had a small reisling with it. Worth every penny. The wine guy knows just what to get for you, including the main course. Just ask. They have huge wines at silly... More

A slice of old world cuisine and splendid service, this place stepped up to a 6-course winemaker dinner for nearly 70 people with a graceful precision that comes from classic training. The abundant courses were swiftly delivered, the wine flowed freely and the gastronomical talents behind the counter were expressed brilliantly in dishes like seared scallop in beurre blanc with... The only thing not to like is that it's a bit over-priced, even for Carmel. We bought a split of MacIntyre Chardonnay for almost the same price as was listed for a full bottle the next night at the Rio Grill. But you're paying for that personal attention to detail and service, so for a special occasion, it's worth it.... More
