My husband and I walked passed by Andre's Bouchee around lunchtime today and decided to try it out. We were pleasantly surprised, to say the least. At around 11:30 we were the first guests there and immediately seated by the window which is our favorite. The waitress was very sweet and attentive. I ordered French onion soup and scallop, my... We had arrived in Carmel on a Saturday evening without reservations and it was a question of where we could get in to eat. We spotted this play open and they had a table. The food was okay but not outstanding and we thought there were probably better options around town if we had the time to look.

Beautiful decor, great wines, excellent food and service. This is my "go to" place for special guests and an elegant evening out. The Staff is caring and attentive. The food is well prepared and very tasty. Located in the heart of Carmel by the Sea.

Solid food, wine steward very pushy on his favorites and telling me what reds go with my meal, I know what I like so let me order and relax...very pushy telling me a pinot over a Rhone ...really? Food is good, but pricey even for Carmel.

Stopped in for a glass of wine at the bar and discovered a great menu. Could not pass up the Trio de Pate app and was I a smart guy. This app of duck rillettes, rabbit terrine and county style pate was delicious and very filling (more than enough for two to share as an app!) Needless to say, the... More

We had so much fun at this restaurant. Very chic, but welcoming. Our dinner was amazing. We shared the pate' plate that actually could have been our main meal as we are light eaters. But, we did order the halibut and thank goodness - it was a delicate dish and very light. The ambiance was super!!

My wife and I dad dinner here November 8, 2014. We were seated quickly (we had a 6 pm reservation). We started off with three appetizers: A “cannelloni” made of a salmon tatare mix that was then rolled inside smoked salmon strips. This was really, really good. Not over olive oiled like many salmon tatares or carpacios I have had... More

My wife and I were looking for a place where we could have a good semi formal dinner with the convenience of Open Table and Andre's Bouchée looked like a good bet. From our initial greeting to paying the bill, everything was perfect. The French onion soup is quite wonderful as was the halibut. We will definitely return when we... More

We try to eat at Andre's Bouchee a couple of times a year primarily because Anne loves sweetbreads and they have been routinely on their menu for the last few years. We planned this particular dinner for the last night of our visit so we could enjoy a leisurely dinner at one of Carmel's premier restaurants. Though we had reservations... More

We had a great meal with outstanding service at Andre's Bouchee in Carmel. It was a busy Saturday night and the tables appeared to be a mix of locals (the chef came out and talked to one table celebrating an anniversary) and tourists. We asked for advise In selecting a French wine and were very happy with the recommendation. myhusband... More
