Maybe I'm just not a Tapas person, but the overall impression was lots of plates and little real food. I'm not a big eater, but you shouldn't leave hungry after spending $150 for three people! Good service but out of control on a bust Saturday night. I wouldn't go back.

We ate here this past week, with our 2 teenaged boys, 16 and 19. the Staff was very friendly and attentive from start to finish, suggesting interesting and different wines (hard to do with my wine business husband), and let us try anything we we interested in before ordering by the glass. Some dishes really shined, like the Paella ("for... More

My wife and I ate here based on many excellent reviews, but we were disappointed. The food was good, not outstanding. I had much better tapas at Zayrinya's in Washing, DC just a few days earlier. The restaurant was very simple, not very comfortable. Perhaps it was trying to appear as a poor Spanish restaurant.

Been coming to Carmel for 25 years and lived here for 4 and this place is a VERY welcome addition to the dining scene. Service was super friendly, loved the live music and their drinks were very good. Nice wine list with lots of choices (not so easy with Iberian wine). Don't miss squash blossoms when they're in season!

Really wanted to love this place since it is so highly rated on Tripadvisor, but we're disappointed. Started with bread drizzled with tomato juice? But not very tasty. Tried various small plates, including lamb, which was fair, duck leg which was good, and shrimp which was kind of bland and lacked the yum factor for me. The best dish was... More

Hidden away in Carmel this is an excellent option if you're looking for the "small plate" menu. Our server made some excellent recommendations, so be sure to ask first.

We went as a party of 8 and ask them to "Feed Us".......and they did. We tried many things on the menu......with the duck breast be the absolute charmer. Must say.....all of the small plates were outstanding. We had wonderful wine.....wonderful service and would definitely go back.

Mundaka is probably not for everyone. It's rustic, like the Basque areea of Spain from which it takes its name. The food, too, is Basque oriented. So if you like that--or if you haven't tried it and think you might like it--give Mundaka a try. We had the Chuleton, a Basque steak for two grilled over an open fire. It's... More

This is a hidden gem in the heart of Carmel. We almost missed it because it is tucked back in a little courtyard off one of the main streets. After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, we decided to give it a try, even though neither of us had ever been to an authentic Spanish Tapas restaurant/bar. Our server tried to... More
