Brophy's is just opposite where we stay and we have always looked forward to spending our first night in town in there where we can get a stiff drink and good burger after the 12 hour air and road trip it takes us to get there from London. The staff are a delight, we went in there for lunch on... More

We recently stayed at the Carmel Wayfarer's Inn and just didn't want to spend a fortune on dinner nor did we want to get all gussied up!! So, we discovered Brophy's Tavern. Sports Bar atmosphere but cozy and food was delicious. The food was delicious without the price. There is a happy hour as well. This eater/bar is frequented by... More

The food and drinks were affordable and excellent in taste and presentation. Service (3 waitresses chatting about personal stuff behind the bar) was a little slow (affected the tip to our server) but overall it was a fine experience.

Stopped in to see the place and have a quick martini. Football Saturday had the place jumping and the plates coming out of the kitchen ALL looked like they could feed a family of four!

I ate here for lunch both days of my visit to Carmel. The menu is large and both entrees I had were excellent. Good beers on tap. I was served by two different bartenders, both of whom were extremely friendly and helpful. Makes me believe that some of the catty reviews earlier about the unfriendliness of a certain bartender were... More

We didn't eat here, but just had a beer at the bar, and for that - very good. It's a cozy little neighborhood bar.

Nice little bar in Carmel. Was the only one i could find, maybe there is another. Had some ale and chicken wings, suited my need for the evening. Good friendly atmosphere.

I was in town for one night and I wanted to watch the Giants game. I asked the front desk at the Best Western where to go and they suggested Brophy's. I ordered the vegetarian raviolis. It was slimy and terrible. I sent it back after two bites and they wouldn't comp it. They charged me full rate. NEVER go... More

Go where the locals go and check out Brophy's Tavern. In a town a bit over-filled with posh frou frou places, this was a refreshing change with nice unpretentious and friendly folks. We sat at the bar and were served by Jake who was great. Try the turkey burger which is unbelievably flavorful and moist. So often these are bland... More

Called in for lunch ..nice friendly atmosphere..Nichole, the barmaid/waitress , was fantastic..great service..plate filling club sandwich's and burger's and a pint of Guinness that the bars in Dublin would be proud to serve......well worth checking out.
