A great find

Food was excellent and the dining room was quiet even though it was a Saturday night.

Six of us visited this week, one of the menus without loads of pasta and pizza which so many Carmel restaurants seem to go in for. great range of entrees, from duck, chicken, yes two pastas, but loads of beef and NZ lamb, YUM was the verdict from our group who had eaten out for 5 days in Carmel, so... Stopped in for a glass of wine and ended up meeting new people at the bar and enjoyed conversation over a delicious meal. I started with an appetizer of fried green tomatoes, they were perfectly prepared, with the marinara and pesto adding the right amount of additional melange of flavors to the tart and crunch of the dish. For the... More

We ate here one night and the service was terrible. We made reservations and the hostess started seating locals and other people she knew that didn't have reservations before seating us. We sat down and waited 20 minutes to get a glass of water and bread, we were starving as we started seeing appetizers coming out for people seated after... More

When in Carmel I NEVER miss the opportunity to dine at Christophers place. Whether its his christophers risotto, Duck or any Need in between, he has you covered. The portions are big but the price is not.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal and fantastic service at this restaurant on 5/1/11. We had walked by the restaurant several times during our visit and finally decided we needed to give it a try. My husband had cream of mushroom soup, smoked salmon and his meal was the rack of lamb...all dishes were beautifully presented and savored. I chose the beef... More

My husband and I had a delicious meal and lovely evening at Christopher's. The staff was efficient and welcoming, dishes were creatively prepared, and the decor was tasteful, not to mention the large window viewing out onto the Pacific Ocean! We took advantage of the special advertised in the local paper - $49.95 dinner for two including a bottle of... More

This place came highly recommended by the staff at the inn where we stayed, but the fare was far from commendable. The atmosphere was anachronistc, akin to a 70s living room. The food was bland and tasteless - I ordered the seafood linguini and could simply not eat it, which rarely happens to me. When the waiter took the plate... More

My wife and I were passing through Carmel on vacation and looking for a nice meal. This place hit the spot. It was a slow Sunday night and the service was outstanding, which should be easy. The meal itself was great. I had lamb shank with polenta that was amazing. My wife had a great halibet dish. Overall we had... More
