We were greeted by the Chef/Owner, the service was excellent. The halibut cheeks were excellent, the pasta, clams and chorizo was superb. Gracious atmosphere, a very nice find.

We had an excellent meal with friends. Christopher himself waited on us. One of our friends had a hole one that day and so had Christopher. We shared a drink together in celebration. The appetizers were amazing and everyone had a great main dish. I would go back.

The food here is fabulous!!! We went for New Year's Eve and it was everything I wanted and more.. Had the Osso Bucco and it was great!!! Appetizer was the best Fried Green Tomatoes EVER. A place for foodies or a wonderful place for a special occasion. Worth every penny....

Have dined here several times in the last four years or so but have never read the TripAdvisor reviews before . . . surprised at such recent "mixed reviews." We have found the restaurant to be very "comfortable," a pleasant and somewhat subdued atmosphere/ambiance that is relatively sedate but not stuffy . . . I'd call it conservative or traditional--not... More

We were recommended this place by our B&B, but I think they'd mis-read us when we'd asked for a 'reasonable fish restaurant'. This place clearly has pretensions to fine dining, and I suspect we were a disappointment to them! Formal, stuffy ambience and muzak, overpriced (but well-cooked and presented) food.

Used to enjoy this restaurant. Went with friends this past weekend and was sorely disappointed. In addition to an unusually high noise level, two people ordered the same dish, and both were disappointed with it. Told the server, who then had the owner/Chef come out to our table. Normally this would be an appropriate way to handle the disappointment. However,... More

One of the best restaurants we have eaten at in California, by far! The food was incredible and bursting with flavor. We had the lamb shank and sole stuffed with salmon, crab and other seafood. Both tasted great but the Sole was really incredible. For dessert, we had the Apple Tart which was very moorish. Great flavor. On top of... More

I chose Christopher's based on yelp & trip advisor reviews. We enjoyed the atmosphere with spacious seating in a relaxed and elegant surroundings, but the food was disappointingly ordinary. I overheard one of the specials by another waiter at another table; our waiter only emphasized the expensive ones. The waiter's enthusiasm was fake. The green salad was boring with a... More

The food is at least interesting but solid at best. Portions are massive and the wine list is good, especially by the glass. Most disappointing was the waiting service. Slow, got our orders wrong and didn't really know the menu as they should. Better places to go in Carmel and should do better.
