The lamb kabobs were well seasoned, cooked to perfect tenderness. Everything we ate was great Mediterranean food. They have their chef and servers play Arabic/Greek/Italian music intermittently throughout the evening and people get involved and clap. It's usually just one song though, every 30-40 minutes. They seriously pour a glass of wine, that is basically a glass and a half... More

The restaurant was packed and people were queuing to get in but we can't understand why. The food lacked flavour and was totally forgettable. It must be the singing and dancing that brings people in because the food was very disappointing, it lacked spice and the hummus was so bland we didn't eat it. The hype isn't justified and if... TripAdvisor - you did it for me once more. I was in a new city and needed to find the best meal possible. I went to the TripAdvisor and found Dametra's to be the number one choice so I called. We were lucky enough to get a same day reservation as I understand this is not always an easy thing... More

This is a pretty small restaurant, and deservedly popular, which explains why it's usually a wait to get in. I have to say it's worth it. We arrived without a reservation. The couple ahead of us got lucky & got the last table. The very nice maitre d' however, suggested we give him my cell phone # & he would... More

Terrific experience start to finish. Wife ordered the artichoke raviolli which was outstanding. Service and atmosphere were excellent, and affordable menu. Definitely make reservations ahead of time!

We were in town to do big sur marathon. We made reservations for 6:30 as we had walked by dametra cafe every nite and saw the lineups and fun coming from there. We had the chicken kabobs and salad. Delicious....wine was very generously served! They get the OUD out to play and then get the ladies up to dance....we begged... More

On their business card, they have "like nowhere else", now I know why. This is a relatively small restaurant with lots of tables. In many places this wouldn't work but at Dametra it does. From the moment you walk through the door it is like becoming part of Bashar's family and you have come together for a family celebration. Half... More
