We went hear tonight expecting more...much more since it is rated the #1 restaurant in Carmel. First the owner is a very likable and personable gentleman but it was a shame that his personality did not carry over to the young lady that waited on our table. As far as the food...it was good but could have been better. The... More

No reservations taken for lunch (any time up to 4 p.m.) but my fiancé and I didn't have to wait long when we arrived around 3:30 p.m. for a very late lunch/very early dinner. The place was extremely busy, but the service was excellent nevertheless. The bread arrived quickly and was fresh, light, warm, and very tasty, as was the... More

The food is delicious and the hostess is very kind. Portions were enought. If you are not so hungry you might share with someone else. I would definitely return.

They were very busy when we came here, but they were willing to accommodate us. We sat at the bar for probably a good 30 minutes before we were finally seated, which was fine because that night they had some entertainment. One of the cooks came out and sang to the patrons. Not sure if this is a nightly thing,... More

A very busy restaurant in the centre of Carmel. We had very tasty kebabs, good portions, not too large, very friendly staff and very efficient. Would recommend.

8 of us, hungry first timers in Carmel. I picked it because of the great reviews on TA and I am very glad I did. The is a loud, crowded, charming little place with friendly service, a lively atmosphere and good Mediterranean food. Every so often, this handsome young man pops out with a traditional Lebanese banjo and much singing... More

Combine unqualified amazing greek food with reasonable prices, an atmosphere that is more of a family gathering/party than restaurant vibe and add a generous host family that you wish you were part of. Simply unbeatable dining experience in Carmel.

We ate at this restaurant the last time we were in Carmel. We looked forward to going there tonight. While the food was good, and the owner was very friendly, the service that we received was very poor. The waiter never inquired about our meal and it took forever for us to get our bill after we requested it. We... More

From the time you walk in, the waitstaff is solicitous and efficient. For the best (and most reasonably-priced) experience, we think that the traditional Greek bistro selections are best -- gyro meat, rice, salad, appetizers. The efforts at more elaborate (and costly) items -- such as lamb shank and lamb chops -- did not come off so well.

We were told this was the place to eat at our hotel. So we did. The review were for the most part positive. I noticed that those not positive appeared to be people who did not order the traditional foods served there. We ate here twice as we love Mediterranean food. The staff serenades the guests often and it was... More
