We came here with a group of 6 for our holiday lunch and everyone had a great meal. There was not one complaint. I reserved the table on "Open Table" and asked for a table with a view and we got a table in the middle of the room. Oh well, we had a great time anyway. I would have... More

We had a great meal there and they were very good with our 2.5 year old son despite it being fancy. I liked the wine list and the way the also presented fish options along with versions of delicious dead cow.

Like all restaurants, the experience depends heavily on your expectations. If I went to the Argyle expecting to eat in a hotel restaurant, I'd say the food was pretty good. The Wagyu fillet I had at $65 though, was cooked correctly but set the expectation that it was going to be a cut above (so to speak) than most neighboring... More

It was a nice steakhouse, Staff was attentive. Food was good. The only think I thought was a little out of line was the wine list; not every extensive and very expensive, like a 3x markup. Decor was nice but it did get pretty noisy when full.

Poor value for the high price. Service was just ok (over done). I can make a better steak at home. I was hoping for more. Carlsbad just doesn't have a good selection of good restaurants. I hate driving to La Jolla or San Diego to get a good mea.

Had something nice to celebrate and were going for the next level experience, which I expected based on the review on here, a disappointment it was. in summary, if you are under 75 and still have taste buds, don't go. First the good; Great Service, really good and fresh ingredients. Now the bad, everything else reminded me of my father's... More

They fit our party of 30 in last minute on a busy night and the service was great! Food was tasty too.

My wife and I went there with a group of people that were running a conference at the Park Hyatt. You need to take the shuttle to get there as it is down the hill by the golf course. The food was superb, the steak just right. It was a great place to eat.

The food was fabulous and matched the cost. We received typical great service at a high end steak house. The best food we ordered was the lamb chops. They may have been the best lamb I have ever eaten and I love lamb! Other highlights were the squash soup and creme brulee. The only downside to the meal was the... More

This is a great on property restaurant. We had a private party so the menu was limited - but the steaks were done with perfection. The appetizers were excellent and so were the desserts. Some of the supporting waiters needed a little more practice - but overall the staff was great.
