Excellent food with superb service in an upscale dining room. Dining room does not open until 11 am and we arrived at 10:30. The dining experience was worth waiting for.

locally grown vegetables served with your dishes, great food, service, wine selection, $20 gets you a nice dish although there is pricier items on the menu, don't forget to ask for hamburger of the month the chances are it is to die for:)

A group of 9 of us had Sunday lunch here and we loved it! Every one of us was more than pleased with our food and the staff! We started with 3 different appetizers, calamari, tuna tar-tar and lettuce wraps, all were incredible! I had seafood campanelli which was outstanding! For dessert we shared the cheesecake and crème brule. The... More

The food is excellent, if you are looking for healthy, organic, gluten free food, this is the place. I think the place in general should be renewed.

Loved the burgers and deli sandwiches. Burger is cooked to your stated doneness (accurately) and the meat is top quality. Tastes like a real burger rather than what we have come to expect from places where there is no beef taste at all. Prices are very reasonable and they have a full bar as well. Good place for lunch or... More

This is a large ultra modern restaurant with a large menu. Very large portions of generally comfort food. This is a good thing! There is something for everyone on the menu from entrees to sandwiches. Prompt. Service and reasonable prices. Really lovely decor. Good place to go. Might be a wait on weekends as this place is quite popular.

This is a very large restaurant that serves great food and wine. We ate for lunch and had two great meals. My wife loved the burger and I loved the Hawaiian lunch. The Hawaiian lunch is very unique but very good and inexpensive. The burger was made with very good beef from local farms per the waitress.

We eat here every time we're in Carlsbad. The service and food are excellent. First we split a mezze plate appetizer. The selection of olives, cheese, hummus, tzatziki and grilled flatbread was a delicious combination. We couldn't resist the delicious ham and bean soup, then on to our dinner choices! My Manciata Salad (steak salad) was excellent with the steak... More

My husband and I have gone to the Bistro West for many years (we live down the street), mostly for Sunday Brunch. However, it has really gone downhill in terms of the menu selections. Apparently, there is a new chef, and he wanted to mix things up. Well, I'm all for that, but sad to say, this place is failing... More

Bar area, and separate restuarant that also had TVs but ar eunobtrusive. Amazingly good service - very prompt and attentive. We had filet mignon that was melt in your mouth. Also a calamari appetizer, and gaelic coffee at the end. My sister had a coffee tequila with cream that is not on the menu but suggested by the waiter. Very... More
