Have eaten here many times over the past 20 years and the variety of seafood offered is excellent. In the summer, expect a wait for a table. Fairly priced. My wife and I like the options for preparation. Nothing fancy, which suits us. Decor is dated, but who cares. Go for the food, not the ambiance. Centrally located in downtown... More

As you walk in, there is a cold ice case where you can purchase raw fish to take home and cook, which we plan to do in the future. The atmosphere is calm with beautiful fish tanks centerally located and stuffed trophy fish on the walls for decor. On this Monday evening, we had no wait and the service from... More

The fisherman platter and Alaskan Halibut are really good dishes. There service is not very professional, mostly really young inexperienced women. Most diners appear to be senior citizens.

We've given this place at least three tries, and every time have walked away disappointed with the meal. The fish swimming in the huge fishtanks inside are the best feature of this restaurant, but they are (fortunately) NOT on the menu ... they are the entertainment. (Yes, they will hover and stare at you, eating their relatives .... ) The... More

A friend recommended the restaurant for the fresh seafood. He said it was nothing fancy, just good, fresh fish. Sounded great. We arrived and waited about 10 minutes for the table. Once seated, we ordered a drink and looked over the menu. We ordered the White Sea Bass and Salmon. Sea Bass came raw in the center and Salmon was... More

We went on a very busy Saturday night. The staff seemed extremely overwhelmed and unprofessional. We were disappointed in the entire experience. We felt we were at a Red Lobster. Completely underwhelmed by food and service. We would not return.

We had the Mahi Mahi (cajun style), Swordfish (cajun style) and kids menu. The kids portion was big and they couldn't finish their meal. Everything looks so fresh.

Spent a week in Carlsbad and ate here FOUR times. Exceptional seafood selection--possibly the largest we've seen in a restaurant. Wonderful ceviche as was the Shrimp Vera Cruz. Had several other selections--Wahoo, Ahi, Snapper, all grilled perfectly. Phenomenal warm sourdough rolls were extraordinary. Not a fancy place but fairly priced. Go if you seek great seafood!

We decided to go to this restaurant after reading Trip Advisor reviews. Stay away from this place. We had mussels which were cooked in water. No flavor whatever. We ordered Boston clam chowder. My husband asked the waitress if it came from a can. She claimed they make it on site but admitted it's different each day depending on the... More

Returned to the restaurant after another visit last year. Really enjoyed the mussels, clam chowder and fresh fish. Went back twice on this visit. Highly recommended.
