Great for Souther California Italian

This is among the best out here this side of Jersey, New York, or Boston. And it would still get high ratings against those fine restaurants in the northeast. Highly recommended!

If you're looking for a place to have a sunset cocktail and don't mind the Harley's revving it up, then this is the place to be. It's directly on Hwy 101, so the ambiance includes all that a highway brings. Expect to pay a premium price for a not-so-special cocktail with nonchalant service. Valet parking is a must, albeit they... More

Look it's hard to satisfy everyone when it comes to Italian food. Here it's no miss service, consistent menu (not much change in last 4 years) and fresh ingredients Dairy free you got it. Spicy, not spicy anything goes no matter how busy the room is. Bread 8/10 Squid in broth 6/10 chewy Ceasar 8/10 Pesto 5/10 too creamy Simple... More

Vigilucci's has a very nice atmosphere. I had the carpaccio, which was delicious and a very generous portion and then the veal saltimbocca - also very good. Unfortunately, I did not leave room for dessert, but they looked very good. Definitely will go back my next time in Carlsbad.

This is a higher end Italian restaurant, but it's worth the price. Mr Vigilucci owns about 4 restaurant along the San Diego county coast line and if like one you will like the others. They all service the same food with a few variations at each restaurant. My biggest complaint about the the restaurant would have to be the noise,... More

This place is great for a romantic evening or adult birthday party. The service is great, they are on top of everything! I have eaten here over 3 times and am still waiting to be wowed by the food. I like the atmosphere a lot though! It's on the pricey side, so be prepared!

Our flight was delayed and we found ourselves in a rental car on I-5 and starving. After a week of Mexican food, some fresh pasta sounded like a welcome change. A consult on Tripadvisor located this Cuccina a few exits ahead. We were fitted into a St Patrick's day Friday night. The wait staff was friendly and professionally efficient. Their... More

When we arrived it was evening. By the time we left; the entire restaurant was filled-to-capacity! (I can see why) Great Wine selection, wide variety of food choices. Great atmosphere: It is right on the Highway/across from the ocean. Our food-server (I forget Her Name) An attractive Blonde with a 'shooting-star-tattoo' behind her ear. Very personable and efficient. Made the... More

This restaurant seemed a little fancy at first, we were in casual clothes but one look inside and I knew that we would fit right in... You can def dress up for a night on the town or dress down for a relaxed meal. Everything was wonderful from the wine list, menu selection, staff, and atmosphere to the views of... More

Relaxed, cozy location in old town Carlsbad. Extensive menu of pasta, with veggie, veal, beef, chicken and seafood options. Bruschetta is a "must order". Chicken tortellini topped with chopped walnuts was wonderful. Friendly, helpful wait staff. Nice wine list. Excellent raspberry chocolate lava cake.
