Easy to overspend, but you will enjoy it

The tables are rather small, parking i small as well so they have to Valet ( I just hate having to put things away when valeting a car.)

My wife and I ate here for the first time while celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary on vacation in Carlsbad, California. We have now been there three times for happy hours and dinners. Not only is the food superb, but the service is outstanding. From the time we walked in until we left, we felt very special, thanks to the... More

We sat outside while visiting the farmers market. Service very slow. Never got the ice tea I requested.Offered oil and vinegar with bread but when asked for butter a small plate of frozen butter was served. During the meal we were pretty much ignored. On the other hand, the lasagna was delicious but the calamari spiciness overwhelmed the natural calamari... More

This atmosphere is posh. The wine selection is extensive, I am not a red wine drinker, but they do had a surprisingly nice Noir. The names are a bit challenging to say, but with culinary art like this, I am OK with that. I am by no means a expert in fine dining. I am sure I make Emily Post... More

Party of four, we snagged a perfect corner window table inside. It was the perfect location to watch the sun set. It was maybe five degrees to warm to have asked for an outdoor seat so we were very happy. We began with a mixed appetizer platter with some prosciutto, calamari, Insalada caprase, and bruschetta. All were perfectly prepared. The... More

If you're looking for a place to have a sunset cocktail and don't mind the Harley's revving it up, then this is the place to be. It's directly on Hwy 101, so the ambiance includes all that a highway brings. Expect to pay a premium price for a not-so-special cocktail with nonchalant service. Valet parking is a must, albeit they... More

This is among the best out here this side of Jersey, New York, or Boston. And it would still get high ratings against those fine restaurants in the northeast. Highly recommended!

Look it's hard to satisfy everyone when it comes to Italian food. Here it's no miss service, consistent menu (not much change in last 4 years) and fresh ingredients Dairy free you got it. Spicy, not spicy anything goes no matter how busy the room is. Bread 8/10 Squid in broth 6/10 chewy Ceasar 8/10 Pesto 5/10 too creamy Simple... More

Vigilucci's has a very nice atmosphere. I had the carpaccio, which was delicious and a very generous portion and then the veal saltimbocca - also very good. Unfortunately, I did not leave room for dessert, but they looked very good. Definitely will go back my next time in Carlsbad.

This is a higher end Italian restaurant, but it's worth the price. Mr Vigilucci owns about 4 restaurant along the San Diego county coast line and if like one you will like the others. They all service the same food with a few variations at each restaurant. My biggest complaint about the the restaurant would have to be the noise,... More
