Trendy bar

We had the breakfast buffet and it was pretty good, but it is not cheap. We filled up so we wouldn't have to eat lunch and last until dinner.

This pub is located on the grounds of a resort so it has a ready made clientele. It is a very busy place but you can make reservations. They have several beers on tap including many they brew themselves. There is a small outdoor dining area. The food was just average. Service was polite but we did not see our... More

Saturday evening, just wanted a quick meal out. Pretty busy around 6:00 with no reservation, waited about 20 minutes in the bar. She had a Red Trolley Ale, I had the Wreck Alley. Both good, the Wreck Alley almost chocolate in color and flavor. Seated by window and had an order of Chili Lime fries to start...piping hot and excellent!... More

This restaurant is conveniently located on the Grand Pacific Palisades site. They have great beers and a decent Happy Hour. However, they used to have a better Happy Hour! Menu is limited and not all beers are on special. The food here is good, service is good, beer is excellent, atmosphere is nice, if a little loud. But don't expect... More

We went to Karl Strauss for dinner with our young son and we had a great time! The beer tasting was fun, the staff were friendly and food modifications were offered. The food was delicious!

We've been in Southern California and Las Vegas for a week and this was by far the best meal we've had. Just when it seemed impossible to find a restaurant serving other than burgers and fries, Karl Strauss' menu is full of tasty offerings flavoured liberally with things like chili, cilantro, lime zest, mango, and avocado. The chili lime fries... More

Honestly, my experience didn't start out too well. We were seated outside and waited for 15 minutes with no waiter in sight and no heaters on to kill the evening chill. So, we asked the hostess if she could seat us inside. From that point on it was a great evening. Our waitress was Tippa (I think) and she set... More

we stopped by this Karl Strauss because of the reviews on trip advisor. the food was really good - no disappointments there. The wait staff was abrupt and frequently unavailable (probably because the place was packed). the manager probably needs to either bring on more staff, or teach the current staff how manage several tables with a sense of professionalism.

I was initially impressed by the menu. My husband chose this place because he wanted to sample the beers. I was six months pregnant, not expecting to taste any beers; however, I was disappointed that so many delicious-sounding menu items contained fabulous but un-pasteurized cheeses which I also could not have (and to ask for them to leave it off... $12 for adults and $6 for kids, all you can eat. The make your own waffles were yummy and the made to order omelette was delicious, loved the potatoes too! Wish I would've tried their lunch cause I heard the Mac on tap (Mac n cheese) is amazing.
