Love the big portions and the coffee cake is simply amazing! Omelettes are light, fluffy and a meal in itself...loved this place so much, we came here multiple times during our week out here.

Don's is a great little discovery. My husband and I spent a few days in the area. We were actually headed to the Danish Bakery (I'll review it later), but it was closed. Since Don's was in the same parking lot we decided to give it a try. It was a crowded Sunday morning, but the staff greeted us with... More

My husband and three kids ate here one morning and sat outside as it was a beautiful day. I thought 2.75 for an ice tea was kind of high, and two small pieces of sausage for one of my sons was 4.25. I had a very good omelet that was so huge I was able to take half home and... More

The food was good and plentiful. So good, in fact, that we will go there again tomorrow morning! The price was good, too. All-in-all, one of the best breakfasts we have had. Highly recommend it to you!

I had breakfast here today with a friend. Great coffee and got my eggs the way I like them. The hash browns were really good. The only downside, I got biscuits and gravy with my meal. This is not true cream gravy like is made in the south. It tasted like it had bouillon in it and very little sausage.... More

Best breakfast in Carlsbad!! I had the apple cinnamon pancakes and they were amazing the apples were fresh not the kind from a can. The hash browns and pecan waffles were also great. We sat at the counter and had fabulous service stop here if in Carlsbad

Don's Country Kitchen is a popular restaurant in Carlsbad that is a local favorite so my husband and I tried it for breakfast. Breakfast is usually the same at every restaurant. Two eggs over easy, hashbrowns, and sour bread toast. I sometimes like to change up to pancakes and decided to get a short stack. Pancakes are one of my... More

We tried several times to get into this establishment but line-up was impossibly long. We finally got in and found out that there are 8 or 9 tables and about 10 mushroom seats at the counter and 4 or 5 tables on the sidewalk. So there isn't a lot of capacity in there. Service is fast and friendly. Tables are... More

Stopped by for a late breakfast, and had the chilaquiles (sp?) at the counter. Delicious! Fresh, homemade, and just the right amount of food. Great cup of coffee too. Will happily go back the next time I'm in Carlsbad.

Biscuits were more like stale rolls and sausage gravy had no sausage. My husband ordered omelet and it was fine but I would not go back
