Meat counter and specialty foods

We stopped for breakfast which was delicious. Fresh bratwurst, thick cut bacon and breakfast sausage were delicious. Eggs, toast and potato was a nice compliment. But check out the meat counter. Prime meat. Steaks and roasts with a fat cap. Beautiful stuff to take home and cook. Many special... read more

This is one of my favorite deli/restaurants to go to in the County. We have access to some pretty great stuff in San Diego but Tip Tops brings some imports not found in too many places. The European delicacies are splendid not to mention their amazing meat and cheese selection. Oh, did I mention beer & wine...yup, they got both... More

My family and I recently were on vacation in the San Diego area and stayed in Carlsbad so we decided to give Tip Top Meats a try. We were so impressed with the quality and taste of the meat. I had the sirloin steak n stein. It was the best steak I may have ever had. The flavor was so... More

Have visited this place several times over that past two years and have been continually impressed with some of their ethnic selections. mostly German and eastern European. Prices are reasonable.

I was suspicious at first, but after reading the reviews, I had to give it a try. I'm glad I did. The food was very delicious!!. The portions were huge, enough for two days. I could not believe that they didn't charge more than they did - good for on the cheap. This is a meat and potatoes place, so... More

This German restaurant/deli/market was recommended to us by friends who live in the area. When we visited Carlsbad this past week, my husband and I had both dinner and breakfast there. It's a good thing we checked the menu online; otherwise we would have been overwhelmed by all the choices! You order your meal at the counter; the menu was... More

Short distance away. Family has owned for many years. A very family, friendly atmosphere. Lovely meat counter in a small grocery store with tables and chairs for dining.

Loved the large selection of meat and food, not just a restaurant but a meat market as well. We bought peppered bacon and a couple of meals to take back to our timeshare. Both meals were under $10 and came with soup or salad, mashed potatoes and gravy and vegetable. We ordered the stuffed pork chop and the second time... More

Come early or be prepared to wait for breakfast. The burgers here are far better than we've had at many places and we also find something to get from the butcher side to take home. Our dog LOVEs the raw food in the freezer section.
