Super location, you can walk everywhere in Carlsbad Village, beer was good, cold, atmosphere is friendly, good service, lots of locals and live music that's not overpowering. Food choices are excellent, food itself is okay Irish pub grub (not great, not large portions, but it will fill your belly).

Typical pub fare, but all very good. We sat outside and the seating out there isn't very comfortable, but it was nice to be outside. We tried wings, potato skins, and fish & chips and all were very good. Our waiter was great - friendly and attentive.

Apparently the place is Irish....they do have an Irish flag out front and serve Guiness but make no mistake this establishment is American. I asked for certain traditional food items that I love but nobody had a clue what I was on about. This bar is for American wannabe Irish folk who want to drink stout and relay stories of... More

We really enjoyed the drinks and music here! Came from The Coyote after dinner to get some drinks and were quite happy with the choice, much more our speed than the Coyote which had a lot of middle aged people and music not to our taste, this place catered a bit more to mid to late twenties and had much... Nothing special here. Actually the cabbage was undercooked and the corned beef was filled with fat. Wouldn't go back again

I went to Ireland 16 years ago. I love trying out Irish restaurants to hopefully remember that trip. I've since dined at Irish restaurants across the US. We ordered the Shepherd's Pie and the Corned Beef Boxty. Both were perfect and much better than we expected. The Boxty is fantastic- though I asked for the cream sauce on the side.... More

I have been going to this restaurant for years and while the beer selection is still great and the service is good the food has REALLY gone down hill. I went for pub quiz and had the nachos that -no joke- literally made me ill. I went back on a thursday to grab a burger, they used to have one... More

The minute you see the exterior and then the interior of this place, you know you are stepping into an authentic Irish pub! The staff is friendly, some with heavy Irish accents, and the food brings you back to the pubs in Ireland. Check out their calendar of upcoming events for the many bands, etc., but definitely stop by on... More

My friend and I stopped there for lunch while I was visiting in California. I had the full Irish breakfast and he had the fish & chips. My Irish breakfsat was very good!! Banger, potatoes, black & white pudding, eggs, beans, tomatoes and soda bread. I could hardly eat it all!! My friend said it was some of the best... More
