The first restaurant was opened in 1983 in San Diego by Ralph Rubio and his father, Ray, who started the fish taco phenomenon that spread across the nation. Today, Rubio’s menu has grown from The Original Fish Taco® to include additional chef-crafted seafood recipes that feature shrimp, wild salmon and ono. In addition to sustainable seafood, Rubio’s offers chargrilled chicken and steak, fresh made guacamole and salsas and sauces that are prepared daily.

Lunch or Dinner, this is a family favorite. For those who aren't local, you might be wondering - Fish Tacos? Really?! But - you really need to try these. They are great - or anything else on the menu. You will be surprised - it's not your standard fast food

Rubios is famous for its fish tacos and these were great. Love this kind of fast food. Nothing bad about this one either.

It was a Rubio's like any other in the chain, and by that I mean a good and reliable place to eat. Nothing exotic, but no cheap ingredients in the common fare either. Not really Mexican, but a good fit for the American palates' interpretation of the cuisine. You will like it.

We just had dinner at this place. Best looking Rubio's I have ever been to. I had a chicken burrito especial on a whole wheat tortilla. It was delicious. My daughter had a lobster burrito. She says it was awesome. Very friendly staff.

Very good for fast food. Clean, fast and good quality. If you need something in a pinch and don't want full restaurant service this is a great option.

This is only our second visit to a Rubio's and our earlier impressions were confirmed. We will continue to look for Rubio's when we are looking for something fast, tasty and clean. The service was prompt and even though were sitting outside arrived hot.

Especially the Rubio's at the Carlsbad Outlet mall & the Rubio's on College & Oceanside Blvd. Both kept running clean and super efficiently... I eat there frequently ... love the Mango Mahi Mahi plater on corn tortilla's & also the orange chicken salad... just excellent meals and priced right. I highly recommend
